On that wonderful stretch of road called the Decarie expressway, some doofus in a Minivan almost pancaked me (and my car) when he cut across 3 lanes of slow moving traffic without any signaling (don't you signal intent, then slowly move behind the driver you are next to?)
After the brakes, swerve, horn and expected "what the heck are you doing?" hand signal that I gave him (no, not the bird) while I was forced half a lane over, he motioned that he wanted to merge out. Now I consider myself a very stable driver (almost 2 decades of accident free travel - ugh, aging myself here), but there is no way I would NOT have let him in, if I saw his intention.
Now my question is: Is it possible he couldn't see my Shiny Titanium Grey RX8? Is the car so low that it is invisible to Minivans?
What do you guys/gals think?

Thanks to S3/P3/E2 we refer to minivans and SUVs as "Festiva-crushers" on the forum. Do a search. There are some pretty funny comments about "FCs". LOL...

People don't adjust their mirrors properly, my father complains about the HUGE blindspot on his minivan, I get in adjust the mirrors almost fully out (you don't have to see the VAN!) then boom look at that no blind spot what so ever.

Strange, Ironic Experience
I just had a strange ironic experience (I started this poll):
I had to take a cab home from the airport today, and guess what? The next cab in line was a Minivan!!!! (In Montreal, cabs come in all types - from real crapboxes to old Luxury vehicles)
Anyways, I get in the cab and this guy starts driving like he's in a race! While leaving the airport, he starts passing people in tight corners and probably pissing people off.... Then I notice something really strange....
He has his right hand on the shifter like it's a manual car. Only, it's connected to the steering column, and he's holding it like a bike handlebar!!!! (Darn! I wish I thought about using my phone-cam to take a discreet picture of it!!!)
He pulled a few jackrabbit starts from stoplights, and I was waiting for him to cycle through the 1-2-D :D , but no such luck. Maybe he was saving it for somebody worthy of his machine.
Anyways, I did notice one thing. You have a pretty good view from up there, which is perhaps why Minivan drivers pull DOOFUS manoeuvres.
