ECU reflash in Montreal Dealers "L"???
I called two dealers and they DO NOT know about the "L" reflash.
I want to reflash it... Did anyone from Montreal region reflashed their ECU with the new version "L"?
Thanks!
GO! HABS! GO! ;-)

dealers around here are either real bad or are just playing dumb with us because they are still stating there's no recall , (besides the air bag) and basically they had no service notes...

I have my 8 for last 2 months, almost completed 1000 km breakin period.
I noticed when I push it hard on 2-3-4 fast up shift (<> 4-5k rpm), the engine starting to
drag a bit on the 5 gear, I have to back off to 4th or shift into 6th. It happened a few
occasions but mostly it is smooooooth. I am not sure it is engine misfire. I wanted to
wait for the recall notices and have the car checked out including the "L" reflash. Yet,
I do not see or hear anyone in Canada actually receive the recall notice by mail.
Mileage is about 18mpg and 15mpg if I having a bit of fun.
I live in the west island and my dealer is far away (Ste-Constantin). Anyone have
experience of Service from 2-20 on Sources Blvd. Their client parking is very small
and I afraid there will be door ding if I leave my car for serivce.
There is 2-20 in Ile Perrot. Any Comment?
Option is going to the same dealer as a group. Show the service manager all the service
bulletins and show that we will not take any BS. Hopefully, he will take good care
of all of us as a group.
Yeah! Go HABS Go!

Hi TY_888
I bough my 8 at St-Constant Mazda (friend know owner).
But took my 8 for oil change to 2-20 at Ile Perrot (where I leave).
Very good service and the parking is huge.
See you on the HWY 40.

Hi TY_888,
I actually got a excellent deal since my friend long time friend is the owner of St-Constant and Brossard Mazda.
Yes, both 2-20's are owned by brothers and the St-Constant one too.
Take care.

I went to 2-20 for a test drive (called first), but they couldn't get it started. They blamed it on the immobilizer being deprogrammed because the battery died. I wasted my time.
I bought my RX8 somewhere else.
I don't think I did much better there. (see my KM poll in this Forum).
Does anybody know of a Montreal dealership that you would consider trustworthy? I just hate incompetence and untrustworthiness. Maybe I'm just dreaming of an ideal world where the customer is happy with service.
