Well Mazda said no new engine but I'm disputing. I've ha no definitive answer as to what is bad at 330rpm. If I extend the graph then clearly 4, if not 5 readings are below spec. So we'll see.

I think I found the newer graph that Mazda is using. Looks like you're still a fail even with this one. Fight!

did you have fresh plugs/ coils before the replacement?
There are a few items, which are not covered under warranty that the dealership will need to replace.
Either they just didn't charge you (very unusual!), or else they didn't replace those parts. Your engine may be suffering because of that...

The coils and wires were replaced about 8 months prior to the engine being replaced (only 5k on them), and they checked out fine. They did replace the spark plugs (I provided them with the new plugs), BUT they didn't charge me for the install.
From what I was told, Mazda Canada will cover anything directly relating to the replacement of the engine core, including necessary parts, liquids, and labor. But I guess YMMV with your dealership.

Oh hey Loki!
It's actually in the shop right now and should be ready for Friday.
I'm still a little shocked this happened. I swore up and down that my engine was in perfect health!
Keep me updated on your results.

But you could try a dealership that's closer to you, like West Coast Mazda in Pitt Meadows or Freeway Mazda in Surrey, and get quotes from them.

lol, so, the comp tester probe broke while they were working on my car. From what I understand it's the same diagnostic computer they use on a number of cars, but the attachments are different. Well my car broke the attachment... the comp test will have to wait till next week, unless this is a scamalingua of some sort.

Well hopefully it was broke by the rotor swinging by and hitting the probe. I am not aware of any universal diagnostic machine with a rotary compression testing ability.
