You guys missed out on the Ebay buy of the century. $20 US for a full set of genuine Mazda RX8 Winter Mats. That was my best Ebay buy yet! :-)
I think it was Jason Hamilton who alerted us to that deal.

Go to Price club. They sell some heavy duty winter mats for like $30. Do they fit the RX-8 exactly? Hell no, but it covers a large space which is what you are looking for. It is winter afterall and there will be a mess down there no matter what. They are even designed to hold like 2 glasses of water or something like that.

Shipping was under $10, no duty, and exchange rate is better than its ever been for a very long time. If you can get them for $60 + pst + gst, more power to you. I've seen them go for $120.

Just get the Mazda mats. They are a perfect fit. Sure we all like to save money, but lets get real, 120 bucks, no big deal.
I am happy with mine. I dont have time to watch ebay, or shop around just to save 40-50 bucks.

I'll be doing the same thing this weekend. Have you checked out Walmart too? It's either that or Costco the mats. Trimming...argh...I think you might have to, unless the pedals are accessable and aren't blocked by them.

I bought the pant savers from Costco, I think it was ~$30, my wife picked them up, so not sure on the price. Anyway, they fit pretty good, except the passenger side, but it covers a large area and the small mats for the back fit like they were made for the 8. Thanks guys!

I tried picking up the All weather RX-8 mats from Gyro Mazda. None in Stock. None in the warehouse. Apparently on back order in the US.

If you bought them in TO, which dealership? I need to start calling around.
Cheers
