I guess your search to see if this was already posted numerous times was about as extensive as your search of Ferrari values.
Oh the irony

You clearly lack a grasp on reality. I could name off dozens of Ferrari's which are worth more today than they were initially. A 250GTO sold for $25,000 back in the early 1960's; factor in inflation and it would cost roughly $155,000 today. Their current market value is $10 million +++. The same holds true, though not to that extreme, of basically any Ferrari produced in the 50's and 60's, and there were dozens.
You're ignorant, both to the facts, and to limits of your knowledge. No amount of your family’s money is going to change that. Once again, get a clue.

Furthermore, when I post on an internet forum, I'm willing to listen and learn from people. If somebody says I'm wrong, I don't say no, my wallet is stuffed bigger than yours, so I must be right. I'd ask them why they say that. You might want to learn to do that to. You're going to have to stop sucking on your daddies teat one day, might as well get ready for it now.
GET A CLUE.

Joined in 2004 and you have well over 3500 posts... and the most you can do is attack another member of this forum??? Why?? Because you think he doesn't know about Ferrari's and what they could go for????
If you think you're investing by getting a car you need to get your head examined. No car is an "investment".
It took the Ferrari 250GTO this long to go for 10mil!! The car was probably fully restored at some shop for some obscene amount of money. It's a very rare car because not many survived plus they were built in limited quantities.
This is a special case because of the name.
Alot of cars go up in value after a number of years because of their name. A few Porsche 911 RSR's go for some pretty coin. But it has taken them forever to get to that value. They were probably raced and never driven again. Or possibly won the race and never driven again.
Ferrari's recent cars will probably never see that type of coin in the future simply because of the quantity they've made. The 360 is considered the best selling Ferrari of all time. Now they have the F430 out. Do you think the 360 will be worth as much as a 250GTO in 25-35yrs time??? It can't because there are 1000's of examples out there... Where as the GTO exisits in 100 (or less).
If you're trying to convince Helas that he's "ignorant", you've made your point (I guess). You don't need to attack people every other thread till they see your point of view!
You dont' even have a location set in your profile??? Are you afraid of people coming over to your place and beating you to death or something????
It's a nice day outside.... go out and drive somewhere instead of posting bullshit on the forum....

Guys, Helas thought the only ferraris to gain value were the f40,f50 and enzo. The fact is, they're many and that was the only point Blueeyes was trying to make. It doesn't make you a wizard on ferraris if you own one. I know many ppl that drive 8's and don't even know that it's rotary power'd. So, friends aside, Helas was wrong and it's not a bad thing to be wrong, just take it like a man and move on. I've been wrong before and I'm sure blueeyes has so let's not start insulting each other over this.

Whats going on DARK, YA know what? your totally right, I made a general comment that was taken way to literally when it was only to outline a couple examples. The 250GTO has also been a generalized point.

look, I don't take what ppl say on here to heart. It's an open forum and you got to expect clashes of personalities. At the end of the day, none of this **** matters and I don't worry one bit about it. On the other hand, I do appreciate it when someone corrects me when I'm wrong. It's better to learn from your mistakes here then in "real" life.

For the record, all this could have been avoided if you hadn't tried to justify your information with the fact that your family has had 3 Ferrari's, then tried to avoid this situation by slinging lame cliches. If I was 'unnecessarily harsh', it was because you were unneccesarily close minded. If there is one thing in life that pisses me off, it's people who won't open their minds.
It's funny, the place I most often get flack for calling a spade a spade, is the internet. In real life, more often than not, I get comments of appreciation for being honest with people. People trust me and my opinion, and confide in me because they know I won't tell them what they want to hear. I have a ton of patience, almost to a fault, for anyone willing to listen and learn. The second you decide to close your eyes and ears, that's when I lay your cards on the table. Some people like that, some people learn from that, others get their feelings hurt. I'm a student of life, and I can't fathom ignoring an opportunity to be proven wrong. I encourage it. If you think that's cowardice, well, so be it.
