F-up my exhaust i think..

So i pulled into a gas station and i drove over a manhole cover that i didn't notice was more raised then the groud around it and it smashed my exhaust like dead on.. now i get a sound like i have hole on my pipe or maybe a gap and sometimes i get a bit of a rattling noise...

so since i wanted to change the exhaust anyways next year it works out except now i have to change it this year ..

i was wondering if anyone got the mazda speed exhaust and how much it was with install? should i get another brand the thing is i dont want my warrenty to get voided so i am kinda nervous about getting anything not from mazda at the moment..

I've got the Mazdaspeed Exhaust, Footman, I, and RX8thunder just installed it on my driveway during our install meets throughout this summer.

Its a lot of work to do yourself, the hangars are a bitch, especially if the car is 04, and winter driven. But the first two meets had a lot of guys show up, and Agent008 is our Veteran Pro at the Hangars.

Most places will quote you an hour at least to install the exhaust, private shops at around 80 to 90.

Exhaust prices range from 600+ prior to tax.

I'm pretty sure my guy can beat that price, but it might be best if you deal with Al, since I've never met you before.

If you wanna do it from dealership...with warranty and all...you may need to pay to play.

Eitherway, doesnt hurt to give Al a call.

And Jay whos the "Guy"?

What warranty dude? I believe the warranty on the exhaur is Blue, just one year warranty, it's still warranties whether you do it yourself or someone else does it.

Don't worry about my guy, he's too awesome.

I don't think we'll be having anymore install meets this year well the no more heavy ones.

I might do my gauges, console trims, shift boot, and led swaps during the winter.

Other than that, I'm going to be buying my progress sways, jic/ greddy strut for the rear, still deciding between twin basics/ksport/ or stech with tokico d spec. Also will be getting my RP03 19 X 9.5 all around rims.

It has to be installed by Mazda approved shop for the Blue warranty to be in effect.

"MAZDASPEED "Blue" Performance Accessories must be installed by a MAZDASPEED Dealer on a US specification vehicle and be specifically approved by Mazda for the particular application. These parts are covered under the Mazda Replacement Parts and Accessories Limited Warranty and are warranted for the first 12 months/12,000 miles from the date of installation or the duration of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty, whichever is longer. Should the parts be purchased but not installed by a MAZDASPEED Dealer, they will be covered for the first 12-months/12,000 miles from the date of purchase, excluding labor charges. Parts or accessories replaced/installed under warranty, are covered for the time remaining in the New Vehicle Limited Warranty."

Mazda USA MazdaSpeed Accessories Warranty

I want to drive through potholes...so I think I may just get the same size wheels...getting too old to care about the road condition and I think ENKEI GTC01 are much tougher than OZ Ultraleggerra...

Dealer net on the Mspeed RX8 dual muffler exhaust is $550.00 so if someone sells it for that I would grab it! We have done a few special deals on the exhausts for Footman and Kafka, and I would happily sell it to another member for that price. Our labor to install is $99.00 or what would be 1 hour labor. I will not post our price because I dont want the flack from MCI or other dealers.

I used stock rims past winter, no problem. I love 18" winters! Amazing performance in deep snow.

What is up with the fighting? I tried to break this up ealier, but iPhone failed. We already have a weak GTA community, stop trying to start issues guys. You guys both have different takes on modding your cars, which is respected. A lot of people here have differnet tastes in how they mod their car. This thread has derailed far enough.
