Angry first and last time to a carwash

It was freezing cold today but I wanted to wash my rx8 before I get the clear bra installed, so I drove down to a place in richmond to get it hand washed.
In total, from entering the car wash to leaving took 2 hours. They did a wonderful job vaccuming the inside. But the guy who moved it around in the stalls totally changed my seat and mirror position and it took me quite a while to find my spot again and it still doesn't feel like the way it was before (my first time driving manual so it took me a while to get used to a position comfortable with the clutch). I mean, how hard is it to just move my car forward without testing out all the features of the electric seats??
Plus when I got home and the car totally dried I noticed they missed so many spots and they probably scratched my car when they wiped it dry on those missed spots... would've expected more from a place that in addition to being a detailing shop, rents out 911s, hummers, vettes and lambos......
anyways... just my rant... never letting another person wash my car again! (even if it means freezing my own hands off)

I is why I never taken my 8 to the car wash. I use hand spray and blow dry with the leaves blower...no touching at all.

It's in on no.3 rd Richmond, in case you're every on the west coast and want to do a quick wash, don't go there
but yea... I guess I was kinda stupid trusting someone else to wash my car.. but I saw a few Sclass and jags being washed so I would've thought it'd be good...
well, it was a good thing I had 2 layers of wax (Nufinish, nothing fancy like Zaino) the last time I washed it myself so it didn't leave any noticeable swirl marks from them drying my UNWASHED car with hand cloths...
about touchless places, I hear the soap they use are really harsh like dish soap and it strips all your wax and protectant (in order to get it clean without scrubbing)??? so do you bring your own wax and wax it right after when you go to those touchless car washes?

Next time find a car wash where you do it (indoors). There are several Husky ones here in Edmonton. You drive in to a stall, insert money, and select soap, rinse, wax, air (for drying) etc. There is a high pressure wand as well as a sudds extruding pad on a stick and an air gun. Because you do it, you get exactly what you want. I always pick times when they are not too busy and take a bucket and my wash mit and drying towel. They don't want you doing this when they're busy, but it's ok when they're not. I wash with "rinse water" only. I never use soap.

LOL, well you'd wonder what kinda investor they got to buy that lambo, vette, 911, hummer, and the rest of their s-class and jags to rent out!
