Hello guys, I've bought my 8 3 weeks ago, I love it so much. This morning I got it serviced by a local garage, anyway everything went fine till when he changed the engine oil. He checked the dip stick and he said there is a problem as the water is mixing with the oil and in the near future the engine will die. Is that true ?!

Just went to my local ROCKET CAR dealer (I mean Mazda) and They Informed me..1, The Milky Foam is Normal and not to worry and 2, DO NOT USE SYNTHETIC OIL when doin changes.. ZOOM ZOOM

hey hey, i get the white foam myself. my friend works for mazda. it has to do with a part of the intake. if u have a modified intake ull get it more often. theres a 400 dollar tube u can add to ur intake to get rid of it but its not hurting anything so dont worry about. the only thing is its just anoying wen ur trying to read the stick, i thought about getting a stick thats easier to read like with more course lines. no worries!

Take out dip stick and. Put a 18 inch hose pipe on dip sick tube .it works as a breather problem solved

Yah its normal for Canadian Rx-8's.... happened to me (just to the point where it was hard just to read the oil level) which is why I had the vent kit installed about 500 with the labour from mazda, expensive (but what isnt with this car LOL) yah that solved the problem, no more milk.

I remember when I first read about this that I understood what I read but I still was concerned because it just looks wrong - and every non-Mazda mechanic friend will still tell me it's wrong. I now believe most of what I read, but I still change my oil more frequently in 'foaming' dipstick months.
Bottom line, Cesar, don't worry about it as it's normal. Ensure your car is well-maintained and you'll be good to go.

The northern drivers that don't or can't (cause it's really cold) get the oil temperature up experience this issue.

I've got an actual oil temp gauge installed and I've driven my car for a full hour at highway speeds in the winter and gauge needle barely moved.

PS: I get cappuccino oil "gande" all the time when it's cold out. It's normal.
