Frustration
It never fails. Whenever I go for a drive on my favourite roads there's a bunch of slowbies clogging it up. I've been out to the Rockcliffe Parkway in Ottawa several times since I got my RX-8, daytime and evening, weekday and weekend, but I still haven't managed to have any fun there. Ditto on the Gatineau Parkway (but my fault for trying it on a holiday weekend).

I have not tried putting a route in the NAV yet. Decent maps for Mt. Tremblant may not exist. I know they don't for anything north of Parry Sound. It just shows main HWY's.

I was referring to Hwy 323 which goes north from Montebello. From Ottawa, hop over to the Québec side and take 148 east to Montebello, then turn left. I don't know if that's the best way from Oshawa.
Given all the rich people that ski and golf there, I wouldn't be surprised if Tremblant is mapped. On maps of cellphone coverage it shows up as a digital oasis in the Québec wilderness.

Hwy 323 is not the best way from Montreal, but Mapquest shows other small highways (364, 327). The shortest way would be the Trans-Canada I think.
(Yeah, I know where Oshawa is, it's that place where the traffic slows down. I just wasn't sure about the efficient route from there to Mt. Tremblant.)

Guess what? No NAV maps either way from Momtreal or from Ottawa. however, the Fairmont web site gave me these directions:
From Toronto:
1. From Toronto, take Hwy 401 East.
2. Hwy 401 turns into Hwy 20 East once you cross the border between Ontario and Quebec.
3. Stay on Hwy 20 East until you see signs for Hwy 13.
4. Take Hwy 13 North until you reach Hwy 640 East toward St-Jérôme.
5. Then take Hwy 15 North toward St-Jérôme.
6. Stay on Hwy 15 North which will turn into Road 117 at Ste-Agathe.
7. Continue straight ahead on Road 117 until you arrive to St-Jovite.
8. After St. Jovite, you will see an exit on your right for Tremblant. Then turn on your right hand side onto Montée Ryan.
9. Go straight until the end of Montée Ryan. Turn right on Chemin de la Chapelle and continue straight until you reach the hotel.
Guess this will be the route unless someone knows a better way.
