G2 Brake Caliper Paint Kit in Canada

Does anyone know who sells the G2 brake caliper paint kit in Canada, preferably in the Toronto area? Please post any info if you've got it. Thanks.

Broose, you might want to consider other types of paint. You'll save money and probably some time if you look for alternatives. Many folk have used high temperature engine enamel paint that you can pick up at your local hardware store.

I personally used modelling enamel paint (that stuff is meant to be baked onto ceramics, etc). It comes in many different shades. I got a beautiful Metallic Sapphire Blue. Best part is that it was DIRT CHEAP! (I think less than 4 bones)

Several shops in Toronto carry Folia Tec caliper paint (Exotic Motoring Accerssories in Markham carries it). I have an un-used red kit, going cheap, if your interested (PM me). Several owners of VW's who used high temp epoxy paint on their calipers reported that the colour changes when wheel cleaners contact the painted surface. Several recommend using high temp aluminum paint; you can spray it on (goes on thin); transfers heat better.

Broose, let me know where you end up getting your paint...I want to paint my calipers too.

I'm going to check for what's available at Canadian Tire this weekend, I'll let you know if I find anything good.

Oh you can get regular engine enamel at stores like Canadian Tire and Home Depot.

But the modelling paint I got was from a hobby store (Testors Enamel). I believe you can find that at comic stores, hobby stores and I think I've seen it in Walmart! Make sure it's enamel that's made to withstand firing (ie in kilns)

I've attached pics for you to see. Pics are pretty close to what it looks like in real life especially the rear brake (you can't see the metallic flakes though).

Canadian Tire carries a Duplicolor Caliper Paint kit now - available in black, red, yellow, and silver IIRC. It's a brush-on setup, which is easier and neater than spraying paint (no masking required).

Regards,
Gordon

I ended up finding the G2 kit at Performance Improvements. I need a white one but they are currently out of stock. Does anyone know who else in the Toronto area carries G2?
