Gauging Interest: GTA Install Meet 3

Seems like it's time for install meet 3. Installs we have so far on the table are intake and strut bar for Thief, sway bars for Neo. If anyone else has any parts they want installed we can do it then. Now, just need a concensus of what day on the upcoming weekends are good for this meet, so post up. Also, anyone who is attending who also wants clear corners let me know via email.

Meet Date:
Saturday, August 23 2008

Location: My House in Markham

Saturday 23/08
Thief

Sunday 24/08
Thumper
Proficientone

I ordered the RB sway bars.. They are not too expensive and not too aggressive. Sounds perfect for me since I don't what to end up hating the ride because it's too harsh. Also, I have the RB springs so I would hope that RB has done a good job matching the two.

I'm good for a meet.
My list
Fluid changes (Pros, do you have the crush washers for the diff and trans?)
Hunt down a weird clanking sound (WTF?)
Maybe some brake maintenance

Stiffest in the rear too? A found the rear on stiff (whiteline) made my backend step out far too easily.

When does the sound happen? Where's it coming from?

The sound is from the driver's side firewall area. The sound happens mostly when turning right but can occasionally happen over uneven pavement.

Thief,

It can't be this weekend. I work on Sun.

I'll see if we can do it for Sat. of this weekend. Provided the parts come in of course.

Yeah, stiffest in the back as well. Haven't taken to the track yet tho, just wipping around corners and it feels good to me. No issues with back end coming out thus far.

You probably have urethane swaybar bushings and most of the grease has been pushed out. That's happened to me last year and it would make quite a noise when the car's weight would shift while turning or when going up a driveway on an angle.

If that is the problem, it's easy enough to fix with some Lithium grease. Just don't tighten the bushings too hard or the grease will push out again. That was my mistake.

Hope that helps.

Just updated the first post, so the meet will be on Saturday, unless that is an issue, we can move it to Sunday.

I believe, WCS, Neo, DarkBrew, Thief, and Agent008 will be coming out,

Hopefully, Qwtre, Footman, Kris, RX8thunder, Faded, TurboEight, Proficientone, Gecko69, RX-8 Hoser, Kaffka and others can make it out.
