the car was proabably flashed at that time, something happened when one of you guys plugged in the Cobb, like tims how it was in fuel economy mode, then not. Something is wrong with that ECU, like recognizing as a Cali ECU. Did you talk to Mazdamaniac yet?

when I had my car last year it was backfiring all the time in idle on stock setup, get the dealer to reflash it, that's what happened with my car, I bet the LY never got flashed by the original owner, it's weird why Mazda would even warranty his car with the first K&N.
