Good roads for RX-8 driving in Ontario
#26
Drifting is for little kids. I used to drift. I was good. It was fun when I was 17. AutoX is far more fun, fast and puts you against real cars, with people who want to beat your time. No-one on this forum as far as I know is an F1 driver. Also, no-one in this section could keep up to Michael Shumacher (sp?) if he drove a cavalier, and you were in an Rx-8. This can be easily proven at the PITL events where one of the fastest cars is an Izusu Stylus. Faster than the ferrari that came out, the STI's, the Lotus 7's. I say everyone comes out and puts their times where their emouths are.
At add, the escartment and wine region of niagara, as well, most of quebec are all great roads to go on. The Ottawa cruise, and Grand river cruise are usually fast with tight corners.

Apparently there aren't many roads in Ontario that are fun.
There has to be more than a dozen roads.
One fun event to watch in terms of comparing driving disciplines in an autocross type course is the is the Race of Champions (ROC) that happens every year. Pretty interesting as they put all different drivers in 5 different cars (Aston, GT3, Megane Cup Car, Citroen WRC, and ROC buggy last year) on the same track. Not so much real racing as an interesting show to cheer for your favorite racer - Travis Pastrana did awesome last year. The event looks great on HDNet as well.
Anyone read the British Car Mag EVO? I much prefer their articles over the US magazines as they talk about the feeling of driving various cars on public roads. They had a great review of a FIAT PANDA with 100hp and claimed that it was great fun.
Sorry delhi for suggesting we be irresponsible on public roads. I'm sure you have never exceeded any speed limits, and always come to a full and complete stop at stop signs.
Anyone read Switzerland has banned racing and any kind of car modifications?
