I'm looking for a new RX-8 and I was wondering if people told the saleman about the Grad Rebate after or before negotiating? Also, if anyone can help, what are the prices you guys paid for the GT version in Vancouver or elsewhere in Canada. Thanks. Any help would be appreciated!

 

The rebate has nothing to do with your dealership, it's with Mazda Canada, so don't let them tell you that you're getting $1000 off so the price goes up. Deal with it afterwards, they'll ask for faximiles of your degree and fill out a form and off it goes.

i'm a finance manager for a ford/subaru delership, but i used to work for mazda a while back, any manufactory rebate you get it after you beat that sh*t out of the sales person, then you take the rebate out, " out of your last price", but any how right this minutes they are giving the 04 away, they pay you to take it of their lots, once you walk into the dealership, ask tell them that " mention another dealer closed from them", was giving you the car for 500 over invoice and you are looking for a better price, and w/e price he or she gives you take another 200 off and ask them to show you the invoice, them you take your rebate out, and that's how you negotiate,

Ditto. Don't mention the grad rebate until all other negotiations have been taken care of.
