GROUP BUY on KVR big brake kits for the RX8
Hello we are an authorized dealer for KVR performance.
essential Speed has been asked to see if there is any interest in a group buy for either the brake and clutch line kit or the big brake kit?

The Big Brakes are way down on the list of worthwhile Mods on this car, but I would be interested in a group buy on the braided lines.. both for the brakes and for the clutch.

look at your single piston caliper
waste of time???
stock brake calipers are single piston..the stock rotors are 12 3/4 in diameter and 1" thick.
the new 2pc rotors save 14lbs on the front of the car.
Calipers are 4 piston aluminum material, rotors are 1/2 thicker..vented,cross drilled ,full 13"in daimeter, and 5 lbs lighter than stock.

im not saying your selling a bad product, in fact it all sounds very sophisticated...
just that the 8 is already a light car with huge brakes on it, the car in stock form already stops on a dime...in fact, i think the brakes on the 8 is one of the best things about the car that no one talks about
brakes just is not very high on the wish list, maybe look into the 350Z forums, they have a heavier car with smaller disc brakes

Exactly. Everything can be improved, but the brakes are not high on that list of things that will make a big difference.
My stock brakes stood up to numerous hot-laps at a 2-day performance driving school with absolutely no fade.. in fact, a couple of instructors commented on how good my stock brakes were and were surprised when I told them they were stock.
Besides, a lighter cross-drilled rotor can't absorb as much heat (it's physics.. weight = mass = amount of heat that can be absorbed) and is more liable to crack.
If the kit was upgraded calipers with larger solid rotors then I might be interested. Yeah, it's heavier, but it will stand up to real-world abuse much much better.
Regardless, I'm not trying to derail your business.
As I said in my first post, I would be interested in a buy on the braided lines (both brake and clutch.)
