I don't know, I would think that you contact the vendor, set it up with them, then ask an admin here if you can get approved to do it, then make a thread. Look at some of the other threads(Group buys). I wish I wouldn't have just dropped about $300.00 in the last two months on LED's.

$300 on LED's?!?! Holy crap! How many lights can you change on the RX-8???
I thought it would be the parking lights, the front side indicators, and the rear braking lights that is needed??
I think the RX-8 already comes with a few LED's for the exterior??

From back to front
Brake lights
Reverse lights
Trunk light
License plate light
Rear dome light
Door courtesy lights
Footwell lights..............I have two sets of blue circuit boards on each side
Glove compartment
Overhead map lights
Side markers
Front running lights
Ummmmm.......... think I included the H11 fogs in this and they aren't LED's of course.
Stealth bulbs in the front and rear turn signals.....shouldn't have included these in the $300.00 either, but I did.
Let's see........can't think of any more right now, although I have LED's sitting around for other parts of the car as well. I would like to end up changing ANYTHING you can see in the interior that is red.............to blue. Don't think I will ever get there, but only time will tell.

I bought some LEDs for my running lights but I'm really not looking forward to installing them. It doesn't look easy. All those lights must have taken a long time to install.

Done it over a period of time. Running lights are a little difficult just because I didn't want to move anything to do it, which means it takes longer as there just isn't any room to work...............your hands can just barely reach in if you have long fingers or very small hands(I have neither but did it). It's pretty much just a standard 1/4 turn and the come out. They are on the end of a long freakin shaft that comes out, and just manuvering that around enough to physically get it to where you can get to the bulb is difficult. Then blindly getting that long extension with the new LED back into the housing can take time. Don't lose patience, that's the key! Oh.........and make sure they work BEFORE you go to put them back in.

Stupid Question?
Why Bother?
Do LEDs make you go faster?
Do they have the proper light output (lumens) to even be used legally?
For the amount of indicators that burn out (ZERO) $300 will get me a day at Mosport that will be much more funnerer than fancy LEDs that I can't see when I'm inside the car.

At 60mph (say on a busy commuter freeway) every 1/100 second is a foot. At 120 it's 2 ft (say on a strightaway on a race track). Whereever you are how long are you willing to wait to tell someone behind you that you're braking NOW?

2.) Because I want to do so and $300.00 is relatively cheap for me.
3.) Yes...at light speed, try it and you'll see.
4.) You are assuming that's all I've done to the car. These are small mods(IMO) that are worth it to me, so why do you even care? BTW...most of the LED's are on the inside of my car!
Sorry...but I just got off the phone with Sprint customer service after about an hour and they pissed me off, so I'm not in the mood.

LED Taillights will turn on fast. Even visually eyeballing one taillight converted... the other not - there is a noticeable delay for the filament bulb lighting up. The LED is on vertually instantly, the filament light takes some time to fully warm up and shine bright.

^ you most definitely are I do the same thing. My shop bench and boxes are full of LEDs and LED light bars I can light up just for fun
In fact, I found the greatest LED deal yesterday ... this for $1.50 at a local Wallgreens drug store. Amazing 5 LED (really really bright flood lite style) that actually put out significant light unlike most - complete with three LR44 batteries (that cost more than this if purchased separately), plus the clip and housing. I have great ideas for these parts....
At least China doesn't screw these things up...

I'm not against LEDs. I have them as undercounter accent lighting using custom luxeon 2W with a nice and warm 3600K output.
I really want to replace my 50W halogen MR16 recessed lighting with LEDs when they can match the light output.
But for a car? The only reason I would change the lights is if they were brighter/better and turned on faster - which may be the case.
For me though it is way down on the to-do mods list.
$300 does get me further to a supercharger though, or in my case a day at mosport.

Imagine that......................some people like performance, some like style(or a little bling), and some like both. Why rag on anyone just because it's not to your personal liking? Could never figure that out..........not that I really give a rat's @ss.
