I think we need to figure out what everyone wants to do with respect to event wise. Do we all want to meet and have dinner? or do we want to do something after dinner? or maby just meet for drinks or something? If we are all gonna meet for dinner and then deside to go and do somethng else afterwards then i dont think going into the city will be practible due to the parking issue and traffic. it sounds like acoupple of you guys have a tast for chines food, if this is the case, then we could go to Markham/Richmond Hill or there are awsome restrants in Brampton. Let us know what you think.

I agree with Helas that the outskirts/burbs are best for a large group and several cars. Personally, I love Chinese food so I am certainly game. I do know that some people don't though. Lets see what the responses are like over the next 2 days and we'll make a pick based on someone's good recommendation and go from there. Just make sure that the palce we pick is safe to leave our 8's outside in the parking lot!

The sooner we establish a time and place to meet the better attendance we will have.

BTW, there is a good Greek restaurant in Mississauga called "Botry's". Just off HWY 10 below Britannia alittle on Bristol, I think. Entree's are in the $15-20 range but there is usually lots of parking and a decent atmosphere. Just thought to throw another alternative out there for those that might like Greek food.

Man, I can't wait to see the Mazdaspeed body kit on the 8 in real life. G)(O, really stress to the body shop that you want a perfect match. I can't tell you how many cars I've seen with mis-mtached colour tones, especially in Velocity Red on this forum. My rear spoiler included. Just take a look at some of the guys on this forum and take a close look at their pics, you can see the body kit is noticeably off from the rest of the car. You can't get a perfect match but you sure can try. A Mazda painter even told me the same thing that it is very difficult to get the exact same and a little luck is also involved. So the more the painter is aware of your special attention to this detail, the closer he will come to a perfect match. In other words, scare the **** out of him that if it doesn't match up, he's painting it againand again until its right. If your paint doesn't have any or little metal flake, it should be easier to match. Mazda told me red was the hardest and yellow was the easiest.

Good luck.

SWEET G)(O .

Volks are HOT .

I want the 19 inch axis Hiros . But i gotta hold off . I've had bad luck lately and spent 6 grand in 6 months for damages.

can't wait to see the kit with the wheels .

And the yellow MS kit is easy to match becasue no flakes in the paint . Why did they charge me for metallic paint when i bought the car ...HUMMM

Great idea Mic, but poor timing. House under renos currently. But am seriously considering a BBQ meet here late spring, early summer.

Driveway can hold 6 8's, and the street outside is relatively traffic free, so any number of 8's could park there. (wouldn't that just throw the neighbours for a loop!)

As to food prefs, I don't care (with the exception of liver).

Have I mentioned yet, I'm so glad you're back?

Pete, I don't know if Yellow has metal flakes or not, the Mazda painter just told me it was the easiest to match. Don't go storming in to Mazda complaining about them charging you for metal flakes because maybe your car does have some.

Shamblerock, The Greek restrant Botry's is not there anymore. They closed down, I know this because I am Greek and use to go there all the time. On another note, lets try not to turn this thread into a mod thread, there are plenty of threads around to talk about that. Lets try to get this meet orginuzed and going. For those of you who want to show off your new bells and whistels, i wouldent worrie about it as there will be tons of Toronto meets in the spring/summer, but I understand the excitment you are going through.

One of the reason I didn't buy a yellow was that it was a plain color meaning no metallic in the color (I have the 2004 brochure in front of me). I'd go get your money back if I was you!!

As far as the meet goes, what do people want to do? how much can each afford to spend?

Hela, its too bad Botry's closed. Re, I figured you were Greek with the name "Hela"! Seriously, it seems like you know what the decent restaurants are around town so pick a spot and time to meet for Saturday night. Whoever shows up, shows up. Thats it. Otherwise, people won't have enough time to make arrangements i.e. bargain with their wives, order flowers, do things for her and/or the kids to score sufficient brownie points for the saturday night pass. :D

I'm pumped for a meet for sure.

LOL. Hey, when you have a wife and 3 kids who participate in all kinds of activities, sneaking out for 1/2 day and all night on a weekend sometimes requires a little Butt Kissing to smooth out the bumps and the humps!

Hope to see you next saturday night! Hope you don't stiff us AGAIN! :D
