89 GTA members on this forum, and only 10% expresses solid interest.... guess it's dying.

I think it's dead and buried, can't believe this group...... I know we live in a democracy, but were getting a little ridiculous with the whole indecisiveness of this group of people who supposedly love there 8's and anything to do with them. Just a though in the future if someone start a thread like this, the moderator should make the plan and stick to he's or hers guns. Look at what started happening on Sunday's Mosport Breakfast by the end of the thread you may not have been sure of where the breakfast was taking place! Wimpy's, Denny I'm glad someone stuck to the plan! Congrats

Rxeckless,

I started this thread.

I also started the Mosport breakfast idea. I decided it was Golden Griddle from the get go and I did not deviate one bit from the plan. You may have read that other people suggested Denny's or Wimpy's, but you did not hear that from me.

I set out 7:45am departure time from dealership, 9:30am departure time from Golden Griddle, 10:30am arrival time at Mosport, and everything went exactly as I had stated.

I planned the cruise in 2008 and it was successful with a high turn out. Planning the route and the day's event to go smoothly takes a lot of effort that requires firm interest and participation. I have 8 people that are firm on the list. Many others are "maybe's and flip floppers".

I will not invest my time and energy with "maybes". Having said that, the list of confirmed is right now too low for me to commit to any real planning. If someone else is happy to do all the planning and organize the event expecting a headcount of 9, please do so.

From my experience, in most events, even with the firm list, you will get a 20% drop out rate of no-show's or last minute "emergencies". Be them legit, or excuses, it is not my concern, I am simply stating facts that have happened. Therefore, planning a fall cruise for potentially 7 people or less is not something I would do. Maybe someone else will except that as a good rate of return, but not me.

Most people on the forum already know that I hate:
a) tardiness
b) indecisiveness
c) bailers

The last one is the WORST of them all.

Hay Footman, if you want to go on a cruise, me and three friends are going for our last big drive mid to late October to the Bancroft area before the car gets stored for the winter. Could use another 8, other 3 are on bikes. Really great roads, no houses, no police, lots of twisty's.

Dude you could swing by my cottage if you go up to bancroft. Great rd 504 just in Apsley goes around the whole lake (chandos) no cops and twisty I ball it every time I'm up....sucks I won't be there...out of all weekends I'm not up north. Have a christening for my niece so I think i have a legit excuse...these are always good times.

Oh and on the other side of lake there is a nice beach to park and take pics eat whatever.

Hay, if we can three or four for sure, screw my buddies and there bikes. Still prefer a group of 8's over 3 Bimmer bikes.
