Headlight Replacement

Headlight Replacement
Has anybody in the lower mainland (BC) had any luck getting their moisture infested headlights replaced? My dealer is resisting, using the ("Mazda sent us a bulletin stating the headlights should not be replace because they're vented and it is normal to get moisture in them"). The moisture does come and go, but at times it looks horrible, and I am getting that 'film' build up on the inside of the lenses others have spoken of. Clearly this shouldn't be happening and I'm pretty disappointed that the dealer is giving me the run around.
PS
I've got 2000K on the car now. I LOVE IT!!! The looks, handling, rotary sound, etc. My only beefs are the headlights (bush league that they would leak in a car of this caliber) and the HORRENDOUS gas mileage; I'm averaging about 250K to a tank, with moderate revs, which is way worse than my old 5Liter (and minus the huge power!). Nonetheless, I am not regretting my decision to get the 8 over the G35 Coupe (it has so much more character!).
Cheers,
TC

250km?!?! umm lol what's "moderate" rpms to you? :p
I"m getting like 360-400kms about per tank
anyway back to your topic, I just noticed some moisture today after I washed my car. Same thing with my taillights. Though for the tail lights I've heard ppl getting them replaced cause they're not supposed to be vented??
I'm going to talk to my dealer as well at next service, which dealer do you go to?

I normally shift at around 4000RPM (rarely higher). I mainly do short trips in the city. I eeked out 300KM once when I did a couple of longer highway trips. The dealer just says, "Yeah they are really hard on gas (real helpful). To be honest I've never cared about poor mileage, but this has been pretty frustrating considering the average power.
* I go to West Coast Mazda in Port Moody.
* I also had clouding in the corner of my taillights, but haven't noticed it lately.

yea that's true, it's like ppl who bought the H2 and complained of gas mileage :p I did find the mileage improved with the mileage on the car though.
hmm, well I'll keep you posted here on what Morrey in northshore says when I bring mine in probably next week
The thing is that I have a 3M clearbra installed on the headlights so if they are willing to replace it I'm gonna see if they can hold the offer for maybe a year or so to get my money's worth on the clearbra lol

I went to that place with the heated washing bays in richmond at the end of alexandra. They say no buckets but I went when it's not busy in the evening so no one came and hassle me when I took a bucket of warm car soap water from home and drove there. $2.00 to power wash/spray it with soap, and then $2 to rinse it when I'm done with the mitts!
I actually had time to dry off my car and wax it too
