Hi, I just bought my RX8 ...
and my name is Frank. He he! I introduced myself in the main forum but not here in Canada.
I don't pick it up until next week, but it's a gray 2004 with two tone black and brown seats. Very clean. Very stock. Just a touch over 27 000 km on the odometer - it's a lovely car and major props to the previous owner who has kept it like new! Now it's my job to ensure that it is kept that way - as my Nissan is my track car. I'm very involved in Ontario Time Attack.

Welcome aboard. I'm sure you'll love the car.
I'm guessing it's a Nissan NX. User name gives it away.
A friend of mine has one with a DET swap, and it's a pretty fun little car.
(Plus, I think I know who you are from some of the motorsports forums.)

Thanks for the welcome.
Mike, the 8 will remain stock. One modified car in the household is enough for me - although the temptation is certainly there (CAI ...) but I'm going to work hard to restrain myself.
200 and 804, Redshift is correct (and Redshift, you'll have to PM me who you are, I don't recognize your username?). It's a 92 Nissan NX1600 that I've owned since new. It's a fun little car and last year in CASC-OR Time Attack (solosprint) with two drivers it brought home the touring 3 and touring 2 championships (I ran it up one class from where it was classed). That was with a modified 1.6 litre NA engine. This winter an SR20DET drivetrain from a Pulsar GTi-R was installed. We're not competitive yet as the car is still being developed, but it will be fun.
Enjoy,
Frank
And I will be at the Mosport the weekend of TASR competing in the Canadian National Time Attack Championship. I won't likely have the 8 there. Stop by and say Hi.

Nice to see another K/W owner. Maybe we can get together with Surreal and Spence sometime in the fall, assuming Spence still has his car (can't wait for that exhaust man lol)

I was also one of the "rotary mafia" that Gary Woods made reference to who provided some support when he blew up his car that event.

It's taken me a while to get a pic, but here it is. 2004 RX8 - 27500 km when I picked it up. Closing in on 29 today. It is a beautiful car. I've also included a pic of my Nissan NX (not the one in the background, that's my beater).

Mileage verified by dealer and backed up by looking at it. When I got it certified the mechanic passed it and headed back to the shop, stopped at the shop doors, turned and said, with a bit of disbelief, "There's not even any dirt underneath it!".
In an earlier post I thanked the previous owner for taking good care of it, and I meant it! It's a 7 year old car with 27 K on it that's essentially a new car!
