2006 Rx-8 Gt 6mt
Anyone looking to make a purchase soon (April 2007)? I'm looking at one in the next couple weeks. Dealer has 3 2006s on the lot. I've negotiated him dow to at cost (including factory discounts) with the Mazdaspeed Performance pack. I plan to finance and the cash deal is $2K better. To finance at 0% I'm loking at $36,500 before taxes.
1) is this a good price?
2) any one want to get in on a group (1+) to try for a better price? or get some free add ons?

I wasn't clear... 0% financing for 24 months... not really long enough to make payments small but lets you keep the money in investments to make more money.
I've found a couple GTs with Manual trannys.
Cheers,
William

What would be a good price
What would be a good price? I only check in with 4 dealers and $36500 for financing was the best I could get. I also looked into CarCostCanada.ca... and it said thier cost was $39,500 including all the frieght and PDI etc... which is included in the $36500. The only reason they are giving me the 36,500 is because they have a manufacturer to deal reabate of $3k... If I accept it as true they are selling at cost to get rid of old stock...
I'd love to save money... anyone know of any better deals?

Look at Car Cost Canada again. I don't have it in front of me so I can't compare your numbers, but work this with me. There is a 3K rebate for '06 models, 3K rebate if you cash purchase them, and approximately 3K markup from invoice to MSRP. Fair dealer profit is 3% of invoice. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but if you are financing through Mazda, [ (invoice - 3K) + 3% of invoice ] will get you a good ballpark number. Add all the other stuff later.
Or were you saying 39,500 was invoice price + PDI, I can't recall at this hour.

Yes I meant their cost after Freight, air/con tax, metalic paint, etc is $39,500... then there is a $3K rebate.
