How much did you all pay for your 8?

OK I browsed through the Purchase section but couldn't find canadian content. So I am looking to this section hoping that you guys can give me an idea on OTD price on your RX-8 GTs.

thanks!

It really depends on your location, cash or lease/finance, 05(I think may still be around) or 06 or 07. Many out East have been getting great deals as compared to the West. Also expect a great deal if you pay in cash as compared to lease/finance.

I am leasing my 2005 6MT GT with sunroof for 40k total in Calgary, got it in Aug 2005 (delivered in OCT from Japan).

is that OTR? Financed or cash? I don't understand why Mazda has a two-tiered (three if include lease) approach to discounts. When we got our 92x Aero, Saab just gave us a one price discount on all manner of payments. I find this conduct of Mazda's quite childish.

Well Alberta has no PST...if you're not from there that could be the difference in the price.

Just under 42k

Just under 42k. Never realized how much more Canadians pay for cars.

GT Velocity Red
Mazda Body Kit
Sun Roof
Rotary Accents

Best damn purchase I ever made IHMO.

Just bought 04 bk gt everything except nav and sunroof with only 8130kms. Got it for 26990, but once the taxes, warranty and insurance were tacked on it came out to just over 30k. Not bad for a 50k+ car. No hook ups just went into a dealership looking for a different black with more millage but they had already sold it and had this one comming in.

A dealership looses money the longer a car sits on its lot. Since I practically bought it before it even showed up, I got a killer deal and the dealership didn't loose any money. 27k is a few thousand over the black book value too.

2004 GT 6MT no sunroof no nav 26500 km purchased in Dec 2006.

My deal was a little bit complicated as I had negative equity on the Mazda3 I was leasing at the time. Factoring in how much of that the dealer agreed to swallow I guess I paid $22400. It worked out for them though...the 3 sold pretty much the next day.

I bought mine last month. An 04 with 13500 kms and in imaculate condition. No nav or sunroof. It also came with winter rims and tires that were purchased but never used as it wasn't winter driven. Apparently these rims and tires are in the $2k range. I paid $29k but it was a private sale. I shopped around for a bit and I think that was a pretty solid deal for around here.

I picked up mine in the US (San Diego) in June 06 and drove it back. 2004 SS GT w/o nav. 31K. After exchange on the dollar, RIV, and duty (6.1%) it came to $22,800 Cdn. After searching Canada for two months prior to that and not finding one used under $32,000 I got fed up and started searching the net south of the border.

Just bought from a Mazda dealership in T.O. '06 MT GT with sunroof and spoiler. Only 6700km and warrantly extended by 1 year/20km. $30K or $34500 with gst and pst.

They have a few left including copper red and the standard red at this price with very low kms - contact me if you are interested.

Dude, you're in Cowtown too arent you... did you buy from a certain dealer off the showroom floor....??? Perhaps located on a very major roadway on the south side?
If yes, I wanted that one (LOL) and got it in from another one in the city.. that was pretty much sticker price, a little less as we had a few 'bumps' along the way.. but they refused to haggle much as it was an SE, and they knew they could sell it...??

Anyway, someday, cowtown meet, we will have to talk... especially if we bought from the same dealer..

Got my 04GT this past August with roof & spoiler and 40k on the clock for $24.5k before tax. Same car goes for around $20k shortly after in the Fall. The plus is that it was less than 2 yrs old (bought in Sept 04) and had 1 yr extra warrantly and a 10yr rust treatment included which I didn't know at the time.

yep I bought mine indeed from a dealer "located on a very major roadway on the southside" :D, but it wasn't off the showroom floor. When I bought mine apparently there were only two left and one already sold. They were probably BSing me because I saw another SE on the lot when I had my oil change a month later ( before I went out of country for 2 months)

Ahhh the old 'two left and one sold' bit.. ha ha, fed me that one too..
Interesting, as they located one in Edmonton.. then I told them about the one in North Calgary... After signing, of course, I was told "we're pretty sure you got the last one!!"

If you look in my vbgarage, there are two photos.. one is of the day before pickup.. look at the upper right hand corner.. amazing, they must clone themselves..

I bought my WB-8 in December 2006.

2004 WB - in service date - November 2004.

GT - manual, no skirt, no spoiler, but have nav. system, sunroof, chrome fuel door, rotary emblems front and back. Mileage 9,000km, no accident.

I paid $27,000 + tax, with an additional $1,500 to extend 5 more years/100,000km warranty.
