Did someone say meet in Calgary?? You should organize one. Otherwise, you'll have to put up with either the Beyond or MITM meets.

Enough thanks. Niether the bank nor Mazda will go broke due to my purchase.

I thought us noobs were supposed to sit quiet in the corner and only speak when spoken to

I cant wait for MITM, it sounds pretty cool from what I have read..

When was the last time there was a Calgary meet? I'd love to meet all you guys.. since its lonely here in the south and the only 8 I ever see is my new neighbors.. and he just moves it back and forth out of the garage...

MITM was very fun I thought. Here are some pics from that event: http://www.msprotege.com/forum/showt...hp?t=123645131 notice there was only one 8 there.
The last real RX-8 meet was awhile ago... in Aug. 2005 I believe. I tried to organize one, but no one responded. So now that we have a few more interested people, lets do something for spring!

Brand new Copper Red SE, $34,900, taxes extra. Nice to get the '06 clearance discounts, but Mazda has really hurt our resale values.

What's the sticker on that? Did you get any options? And the Mazdaspeed package?

07' stormy blue mica MT GT with sand leather, spoiler, appearance, rotary accent, 6 month sat (they said 12), only 32 miles -- I drove home in her for 33,000 USD. That included tax, tag and title. And I also got the 1000 dollar rebate. (I think 06's have a 2000 dollar rebate and a longer warranty, but i really wanted the blue). the sticker price they had was 36,416 USD.

*chuckles at "canadian content" -- looks like you guys have better deals there, given the exchange rate, than we do though. too bad you don't get comedy central or the cartoon network.

Hey Guys I am planning on buying the 2009 Rx8 GT edition, fully loaded (manual of course) this coming Saturday. The dealer in Maryland quoted me $32, 233 down from the sticker of $34,570. Here's a link at the specs on the car. Can you tell me if that is outrageous or within the right ballpark? Any tips on haggling with the dealer would be greatly appreciated too.

2008 40th Anniversary Edition

Went to our local dealership (which is just fantastic btw, have used them for years with a 1st gen RX7, then a MX6) to look at the 09s.

Just by dumb luck, I was told that Mazda Canada had dropped the price on the 08s, or at least the 40th ANN the dealer had in stock, by $9000. The dealership had further dropped it by another $1000. This brought the final sticker down to about 34K. (Financed)

It was pretty much impossible to find 10k difference between the 40th ANN and 09s, so the 40th came home with me. Just loving it. The only sad part is that the winter tires go on tomorrow and I still have a few hundred K of break in left to go.

Oh well, something to look forward to in the spring.

Cheers,
Troy
