From a dealer perspective the more modded your car the less its worth. You have to find a like minded buyer to get back any of your money with mods or else they actually will depreciate the vehicle. When you bring a modded car to the average dealer they have no idea whats done to it or how to fix it, it also offers a small more specific market to sell the vehicle to.

 

my 08 40th has the equivelant k on it and even before my accident it wasnt worth more that20k.....prepare for a major dissapointment..these things lose thier value quicker that mini DVD players...

 

I hope series II will maintain their value a little better. Whatever happens I am hoping to finalize a deal on an E30. So the rx8 should become more of a summer / weekend car. Maybe I will put it up for sale closer to the summer.

 

Do you still have the oem rims?

 

If you mean the 19" R3 rims that Mazda sells for 10k a set - no sold those.
