I also ordered a set of KVR front and rear rotors for her,

Tragically hip is correct. they are PIAA Super Rozza's 19 x 10 in the rear and 19 x 8.5 upfront they are the 2 Piece versions in Hyper Black.

I am also doing my interior in 2 weeks, I have my extra set of seats already to go in to the upholstery place.

They also told my wife that they couldn't install the OEM iPod adapter on my '04.

WHAT?! Don't throw out your carpet mats. There's no way you can prefer the rubber mats to the carpet in the summer.

Don't toss the carpet unless they're worn out.

My 04 is running the OEM IPOD adaptor. I'm not sure why your dealer said that it wouldn't work

Though 2 of my friends have said that is an extremely "rice" thing to do especially when they aren't Brembo or any upgraded brake packages. What do you guys think?

Those are nuts!

What is your offset on the rears and how much fender rolling is required to make those fit?

Also, why did you go with such a narrow tire up front when 19x9.5 would fit just fine?

VERY LOW 25 in the rear

I purchased these off a member here on the Forum so i didnt have choice on the front wheels, however. I had 8.5's upfront with my last setup and i was happy with them.

My fenders are already rolled, The rear rims have been CNC machined in order to have the wheels fit within the wheel wells, same as the rear rotors, so some extensive mods had to be done to get them to fit. But im sure it will be one of the very few with such an agressive setup....

They are totally worn out. Permanently in a bunch and with the nibs underneath sheared off. If I buy new carpeted ones, at least maybe I'll get the nib the dealer neglected to install when my car was delivered to its original owner.

All my subsequent research indicates that the OEM adapter should work on my car (May/03 build; 9.53 firmware). I hate knowing more than my dealer.

I painted mine black with silver RX-8 stencils.

Personally, I do think single-piston calipers painted red or yellow look kinda ricey, which is why I went for black.

The CNC was already done on them, they were done on the rear hub of the wheels, and the hub of the rotor.

I wish i can install them right now, but i wont be able to for the next 3 months due to winter.

Are you talking about the retainer that keeps the driver's mat from moving?

Yup. Not really necessary with the rubber mats, so far! I was told I could only get that retainer assembly by buying a set of carpeted mats.

Any dealer should give that to you because it's safely related.

How much is it for the OEM iPod adaptor? Also, do you guys know how much the MP3 memory card system would be? I think there was an optional memory card system that holds MP3's through the stock deck?

You can order the OEM unit through www.finishlineperformance.com
Once it arrives at your door, with shipping and taxes, it will probably cost C$150

I think that the non-OEM units cost about the same but have slightly different features. One of them lets you play music from USB memory sticks.

All of the adaptors require you to remove the head unit from the dash to complete the installation.

Cool, thanks man. Approx. how much do you think it would cost to install, and I'm assuming a Mazda dealership would charge ridiculous prices? lol

My wife was told ~$300 for the adapter and installation together from our dealer. So less than 2hrs labour which seems reasonable enough. Maybe I'll ask them to throw in the floor mat retainer for that price!
