What was the outcome of your engine delivery? When did this happen? Iam currently in the same position. Mine blew 6 weeks ago and I am still waiting.

 

Same here, still waiting. Supposed to know what is happening by monday.

Is yours the dark blue one sitting beside mine?

They will be, I'm driving my winter car right now, but i've had enough of it so they are renting me something tomorrow....

Hopefully i wont have to drive it for too long!

A piece of carbon might have broken off and seized the engine. I don't think OMP failure would cause the lurch and stall which never starts again.

Yes mine is the blue one that has been sitting there since Apr 26/09. How long has yours been there?

IT'S CONFIRMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My new engine arrives in TORONTO TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dealership should be receiving it sometime today or tomorrow morning (depending on customs), and they will be bringing my car into the shop this afternoon to start removing the old engine!!!!!

HORRAY!!!

Gonna swing by Scarb Mazda tomorrow afternoon and pick up some redline for the tranny and diff, might as well while they have the car appart!

LOL, no that was a laugh!! they would still have wanted $16,000 on top of my car, and the discount because the R3 is a demo car..... um NO!

Thats about it! he told me to put 500km on her, get the oil changed, then hit the track!

 

Just keep the engine under varying loads. 500km on the highway is not proper breakin. 500km threw country roads with some hills is. Start with low RPM and work your way up as you build the mileage.

lol...love rotary! They are refurbished engines right, guess u have no idea what was on it before, not like it would really matter I guess.

 

I'm not sure if this one is refurbished or brand spanking new, it came all the way over from Japan...

 

glad to hear it's finally back. I wonder how long does it take to put the new one in?
