Nice seeing everyone again and some new faces. Some of the links that were discussed at the meet.
1) How to "make rice" http://www.oneishy.com/mirrored/honduh.php
2) How to make your car faster for "$0"
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=776885
Both not recommended for real RX-8 owners.

Was great to meet everyone, and loved the take-offs of Helas and Danielson (hope you have a great trip).
Helas .... not a good night .... wished you stayed .... I guess you never got any action last night, maybe you should have stayed and played with Mic's paddles
Can't wait to meet up again!

Wish I could have made it but I was up in Maynooth (Where the hell is that? well, it's a ~4 hour drive from Toronto; north east--I did it in 3 :D car completely load with passengers and luggage.) for snowmobiling and dog sledding.
Though I missed you guys, I did find a great piece of road to drive on...and it's through Algonquin Park--we were driving my wife's Mazda 3 Sport GT, and it was a great scenic drive. Me gots to grab some of the 8's boys and gals to go up there for a little ride in the summer--I'll see if I can plan that out later. Heck, it's been tested already by a 3 :D .
Neo - I like the fact that you're not in any of the pictures :p (don't tell me you can't take one of yourself now ) BTW Any mods to the your 3 yet?
Shogun - Man those are some seriously funny links :D

That was a good night. Nice to meet the new (to me) faces. Too bad the Casey's decided to fall apart around us...
Now if we can just get you all out for the Ottawa Meet.
My apologees to any and all who drove behind me on the way to Williams.

Hobbes,
Yep... I'm never in any pics... I hate getting my pic taken...
As for the 3... Well, I think I'll be putting on 17's come this spring... but other than that, nothing yet... How about you?? Any mods in mind??

- waited forever for a table (okay, that doesn't count but I need something to beef up the list. :D )
- fire alarm went off
- somebody dumped a load of dishes/glasses in the back (SMASH!)
- not nearly as many hottie waitresses as you'd expect in such a place
See? We were lucky to get out of there alive.

ahhhhh toshae, Now that i think about it, boy, we are lucky! Maby if we were to complane to the maniger, they would compinsate us with a v.i.p. table for ten with ten of Ontarios best looking waitresses, alog with a tray full of dishes for us to smash on our own OPA! I think we may be on to something here, food for thought (no pun intended)

I really wanted to make it since Caseys was less than 5 minutes from my home. I even had 3 other rotor heads with me but we were beat from fixing gremlins on my 7.
We should try to co-ordinate a joint RX7/8 this summer, I know 'Amur' posted in the 7 forum but a month from now I think there will be a greater response. The Ottawa Rx7 meet in May is supposed to have a great turn out, maybe it could be good chance to get the ball rolling for the future.

After 3+ years of organizing/going to meets, I can assure you that turnout is never what it could be no matter what time of year it is. Somebody (or several somebodies) always have other things going on. That's just life.
Look at the 'pre-announcement' thread for this year's Ottawa meet in the 7 forum. The date is 9 weeks away and already almost a half-dozen people are saying they can't do it. Getting a date that jives with everyone is like winning the lottery. Just don't stop buying tickets.

Hey guys, I was just looking at the Calgary boys' pics from their Hooters meet.
I remember some of you guys saying that Helas' 8 looks like the colour looks a bit different, more better (maybe cause he just washed it and had some water beads still frozen on the hood), I know Sham's 8, both their 8's look like a more brighter red then the ones in Calgary There's looks more towards the burgundy red colour, while Helas is like a pure rich red I guess. Maybe its the light, but the colours look different as some of you guys pointed out that night.

This red paint plays alot in the different lights. It can look orange, burgundy, red or a comibantion of all three. Besides, Red is the hardest colour to capture correctly in video/film.

Sham.. that could be a good thing with the different colours in different lights... you could always say to the wife ... it wasn't me with that chick with her clothes off in the car.. that's a burgundy..mines red...........Officer.... I didn't go screaming 145 through the red ... the light was orange and my 8 manual says in Japan that means go....

MyRxBad,
Yep, you better believe I'm enjoying the new phone... I haven't missed a call yet.. and I get reception everywhere I couldn't with the old phone... I'm very happy with it!
I know the camera isn't the latest and greatest, but it's far more convenient to lug around... I'll get myself a nice SLR when I have a bit of cash to spare... till then, I might as well use the phone...
I'll let the guys figure out which pick they're in...
