Dear Ted Rogers,
I have come to the realization that I require a GReddy Turbo Kit for my automobile. As this upgrade requires investing a substantial portion of my annual salary, I humbly request that you consider providing me with a "cost of turbo" pay increase.
Your humble, and very hard-working minion,
Eddie
^^^^ Think I'll get a raise if I email the big man that?

Turbos on the 8 make me very nervous, regardless of price. Not convinced that upside is worth the risk of the downside (reliability, blowing of engine, destroy transmission). Perhaps if I was at the track frequently and I knew a lot about cars I would feel different.

Low boost applications with proper tuning should maintain reliability. However, i do agree it does put more stress on stock components which can attribute to pre-mature failure.
But the same can be said as to tracking a stock car, it will still add stress to OE parts.

Maybe we should all bug Alex to finish tuning his car and make him write up weekly reports for us. I'm thinking that if turbo, it's probably a good idea to have the Mazsport ignition mod, and the Cobb. Assuming you're running low boost, you probably won't compromise driveability or mileage too badly. I remember Alex saying that if he doesn't dip into the boost too much, he gets about the same MPG that we do.

Thanks everyone for helping to install that exhaust. My car is no longer two-faced in personality as before (Natalie vs. Natalia). With the exhaust in, there is ONLY Natalia!!! It's so mean sounding, definitely "teh sex" now.
Lovin' it... I feel kinda bad sometimes redlining the car. I haven't heard a drive by of my setup on WOT, but from inside the car, it sounds pretty loud to gun the car...

and theres a new solution in regards to ignition BHR MSD's or Yukons.... better bet then Mazsport IMO..
the Cobb and the mazpsort modded intake is a must thought to tune it proberly..
I have had any issues with my motor, at all...
and hope it stays that way...
