Well, if that's the case, then spring installation would be an interesting task to tackle.
Are you working on the weekends or something that you can't make it before 4pm??

Stuck working on Sat till 4. Plus if Greg makes it out, he doesn't get off work till 3.

Where is the grass hopper?

I think Kevin did his springs by himself, would be useful to have him there too.

I don't know if we're going to be around after 4pm.
You never know with these things. We might start early and we'll still be working on my car before anyone else has a go on theirs.

Regardless, give me a shout to see if I'm still around.

So who exactly is making it up? I want to know roughly how many people are going to show up....

Thanks!
I'm in, pm me ur address plz Neo

wcs,

You've got a PM.

Notice for anyone else who's making the trip up, I only have 2 jack stands and no real jack. All I've got is the CX-7 jack to play with.
I've got a good set of wrenches and rachets.
Anything else you guys need, please feel free to bring it along.

See some of you tomorrow.

Hey Neo,

I have some extra jackstands (they have a v-divit that ok?) and a jack as well (Michellin brand) mind you, it's a bit high (at lowest setting) so it may not be low enough for your FD...can you pm me your address?

chris, i wish i could come help out with this, but as we already discussed i already have plans. I wish i could be there for when you get it running again but i guess i'll have to settle for seeing it at the next meet.

jay, good luck with the springs and all but as i told you today, i wont be able to swing it tomorrow and i dont know about sunday. How did things go with your brake issue?

Alright, see some of you guys tomorrow. I sent out the PM's for those who requested it.

I hope it won't take too long.

What does everyone else have to do to their cars?

Thanks,

Sadly Greg nothing happened. After I met up with you, I drove over to RPM, and they weren't there. Left a msg with their Fabrication guy. Then went over to WCS' house, but he hadn't got back yet.

We were gonna tackle it today, but none of us has a clue how to do it. The DIY on the forum is still up, but all the linked pics don't work.

Pretty much have to figure out how confident I am at 4, and then drive to Orangeville to attempt.

Well, thanks for the help guys. Good to see some of you care!

At least I know phobi tried to show up. Unfortunately he missed me by 5min's.

Update on the car:
She fires. But she refuses to hold idle. I tried firing it and quickly getting on the accelerator, but nothing. The car refuses to accept throttle input.
So my next guess will be to replace the TPS sensor.

Good to know I can depend on some of you to give me a hand whenever I'm in trouble. :p

Oh well... I'll order the part later in the week, and hopefully next weekend I'll have the car out.

Thanks,

rx8thunder,

Don't sweat it. It's not like you guys have alot of experience with the 7 as it is.
So don't worry about it.

I'm just fustrated when everything is done to keep the car in the best shape possible, and then she starts throwing a hissy fit. That's what I hate. Freakin thing is taken care of like a freakin collectable, and she refuses to cooperate.

I'm chatting with a few of the FD guys to see if my suggestion is correct.
So far, they're telling me it shouldn't affect the part I thought was faulty. So I guess it's back to the drawing board.

Neo, what about taking it to Mazdees or RPM for help?

Well, if I had the type of money I use to have, I would've towed the car to Mazdees already.
However, since I'm out of cash, and I want to know how to troubleshoot the vehicle on my own, I want to solve it on my own.
I know it's not going to be big or anything. I just need the proper tools so I can get the car on the road.

Unless Joe at RPM is able to make a house call, I really can't afford to take the car anywhere. Not unless it's under its own power.

Dude,
I was there, or at least where I thought was there.
I was late but I showed!
I was driving around that little crescent for a half an hour trying to find someone.

(switching topics I wasn't aware I had an alter ego posting for me.... Jay)

No worries guys, I was just fustrated the thing wouldn't start. Just venting.
I know the majority of you guys would have shown up. As I said, I was pressed for time, and when the thing didn't want to work for me, I kinda gave up.

I left the house at 4:30pm.
I got there at 12:40pm.

Sorry if I missed some of you.

I'm going to attempt again this coming weekend. I found someone who's got the software/hardware. So I hope we can troubleshoot the problem.
