Install Meet This Weekend

Footman,
I partially played with the throttle body. I thought the same thing, but I tested the linkage, and everything is operating normally.
I remember this happening to another forum member awhile ago. The computer was getting a faulty reading from the coolant sensor. His problem was the engine was hot but the sensor thought it was still cold. So it kept dumping in fuel and killing the car. It wouldn't hold idle because the computer kept reading the improper temperature. Poor guy had to tow it all the way from Ottawa.
I think I might be having the same problem.
I'll take a look at it whenever my friend is able to make it up with the computer.

Well, I've got a few RX-7 people showing up tomorrow for 12:40ish (again).
Anyone who wants to stop by is welcome to do so.
Pros,
Let me know how you guys make out with the springs. I just finished ordering the springs. They should be here by next week or maybe the following. HOpefully we'll be able to install it that weekend.

Guys,
Well, let me tell you we finally found out what the problem is.
Thanks to my friend The Feds, we tested a few things out. And came up with a dead fuel pump.
The pump was changed 7-8yrs ago for a Supra pump to keep up with the demands of a single turbo upgrade.
So now come Monday, I'm going to give the nearest Toyota dealer a ring and find out how much it costs to get a new Supra pump.
How did the springs go Pros???
Anyone else do anything car related?
Oh, I finally ordered the springs. They should arrive in 2 weeks or so. Might be sooner.
You know who I'm going to ring up for help??

Don't waste your time with Toyota. I bought from the below vendor and it arrived in about 5 days via usps with no duty etc.

Do yourself a favour and order new sending unit mounting screws from mazda as well. They cost about 20 cents each and you only need about 8. (Then again yours may be perfect since you never actually drive the car!)

Glad to hear the problem is finally diagnosed Neo, FEDS seems to know everything lol. Hope all goes well when the new pump goes in I would have dropped by today, but it was the lady's birthday (belated already...) so can't be getting into the dog house (at least not again)
Carwise, i started on the footwell's this morning but it started raining so it's 1/2 halfway done, will post pics when they're in.

It was so funny to see Jay's car looking like a hot rod with its *** in the air before we fixed that little install problem
