Damn that's tempting. Good price too.

Would I be OK on stock brakes and street tires for this? Upgrades are planned for soon but I doubt I can do them before this.

So who's going?

I'm thinking of going and learning how to track before Shannonville on the 17th... any suggestions on what I should bring / how I should prepare the car?

empty.. thumper lies.

You're going to want to increase your tire pressure before you get to the track so you don't distroy your tires... that and empty absolutely everything from your car... the last thing you want is to be in the news as the dude who was killed by a flying hello kitty doll to the head.

Oh.. and top up your oil levels BEFORE you get to the track *ahem*thumper*ahem* and bring a couple of extra bottles of oil while you're at it... my car guzzled a bottle and a bit in roughly 45mins last time :D

As for this... I would go... but... no more pennies to spend (damn brakes).. to everyone else.. go out.. rep the 8club... but if you suck... we don't know you

Mosport is definitely closer than Shannonville but that DDT track ... I dont like it since its way to narrow.

I think I'm going to wait till I get my wheels... not to mentioned I still need to fix my clutch bracket

Last thing I want to happen is to have my clutch snap off mis-shift...

Definately not.
(Or at least I hope not... I have a few mm of side by side play so far...)

But a bit of paranoia and preventative maintenance can go a long way...
(and just in case I miss a clutch press and damage something.... and not to mention just in case my dad screws up while driving..)

no matter how narrow or wide the track people always take more than is available. i've accidentally squeezed by a few people and had the same done to me first few times a bit scary but you get used to it.
how else are you going to learn car control?

was good... had the usual mix of self-destructed cars n what not... my friend's starting to learn the 8... though it really sucked being in the passenger seat.

Friend also took me around in his Carrera... that was pretty damn fun. He was driving the ***** off that car.
