Just got back from the dyno

I just got back from the dyno at Pacione Automotive Group. Great bunch of guys, and the coolest dyno ever. The Mustang Dyno let me do a top speed run in 5th gear ( i forgot to get the printout of the number) and we did a bunch of testing. When driving the car on the dyno you could real feel the load it was putting on as the rpm and speed increased. They program in wind resistance and weight of the vehicle to calculate horsepower. When i ran the car on the Dyno Jet it just free spun up to 10000RPM while it really worked to get up to RPM on the Mustang Dyno. Our maximum horsepower with the Danny Manning motor was 224 RWHP at 9188 RPM and that was 132 MPH. If you take the difference in the dyno's it probably would have pulled about 246 RWHP on a dyno jet which would be an increase of 16 RWHP over my old engine. A very happy day indeed! The only thing i didnt think of doing was the 1/4 mile run, but I will do that for sure next time! I strongly recommend if you are going to dyno your car, dont waste your money on a Dyno-Jet when you have this Mustang Dyno available to you.

So I was thinking about putting these way cool vinyl sticks on my car.
How many horsepower? The Honduh guys told be 10hp easy.
Do they have an AWD dyno?
Also - do they offer tuning services?? I think 1 hour on the dyno with a wideband O2 would allow me to get my car dialled in much better than I could ever on the street with 2nd or 3rd gear pulls that result in exceeding pretty much all municipal bylaws regarding velocity and SPL.
What is the most you can get from a 2 rotor NA engine that will last more than a few hours?
Kiwi-RE seems to have some pretty interesting engine packages.

From all I have read about dyno's - it is really important to ensure that in order to verify gains - you must use the same dyno - and preferrably have the same atmospheric conditions as their repeatability is suspect when too many variables are thrown in the mix.

Anyway - 224RWH isn't too bad for NA. Is it enough to be competitive in your class? That is really all that is important.

When are you getting a set of Ohlins dampers?

I run in GT-B in the Ontario Challenge Cup. I dont run Touring GT because of the extra entry fee's, having to buy and run Toyo tires etc. As far the other questions about the dyno call Pacione Automotive directly, I'm sure they can answer all your questions. As far as being competitive in my class, you have to remember my car weighs under 2200LBS., so the power to weight ratio is awesome. I am actually a bit faster than my class allows (break out time is 1:16) at Shannonville (as per testing about 2 weeks ago) so that is a nice problem to have. We will have to see what happens at Mosport this weekend (weather permitting). 224 RWHP is about 280 at the engine so that is about 120 more than stock was in 1990, and all this is with a Holley 650 carb!

BINGO! I like our rules----must have fenders. Ontario Challenge Cup has the coolest cars/trucks running in it. We have everything from a 3/4 scale Ford Ranger bodies tube chassis truck that runs a 2.0L turbo Z-tech that produces 450 HP, to stock Nissan Sentras.

Yeah, the only thing I don't like about the alphabet soup is that some of the cars look like total ****. As much as they're cool, they just don't present well to fans, sponsors, or other teams. A lot of them are beat to hell. I know it's about the racing, but it would help to attract new audiences and $$ if some of the stuff didn't look like it was sitting in a barn for the last 20 years then was duct taped up to go racing.
