Sorry I didn't call ya, it rained yesterday, didn't think you were going to be outside.

I did the Shannonville even several weeks ago and had a blast, but the car needs new coils before I do that again, unfortunately. And I just ordered new brakes for the truck yesterday, which was long overdue.

 

hey man, no worries, ya i'll be painting my under spoiler this afternoon, for your coils head over to watertown ny, take the ferry to wolfe island then ferry across again to cape vincent and its about 20 km down the road i managed to get 4 coils for around 110 dollars and they give you a military rate aswell, as for plugs its only 90 bucks for all 4 of them lol.. as oppose to them being 90 a piece cdn here.

 

I've got a guy here in Ottawa selling the plugs for $25 each if you guys ever need them.

 

Im from Orleans and same haven't seen that many 8's around saw a pretty nice black one only got a glimpse though

@SpeeD TeaSe: Anything distinct about your car aside from being red so that I don't go honking at ever red 8 in Ottawa? You wouldn't happen to be the guy I stopped in the Orleans Gardens parking lot and told you your hood was unlatched would you? Happened around the Christmas break this year I think?

 

haha ye i think it is, infront of the pizza pizza right? the black rx8 turned on grey nuns i only saw the rims so might of been you, im moving to barrie in september for school so i might go to the toronto meets also. Ummm not that distinct I have mazdaspeed vinyls on the window B-pillar and a different wing then the banana stock wings if that helps

So today I pop the hood to put in oil as usual.. first time I put some in in about 2 weeks since I braught it to the dealership.. and no oil cap lol.. I didn't even bring it to the dealership for a oil change and they forget to put it back on? Hate Performance Mazda...

 

^ lol i used to work there and am still friends with the people there, Find out who did your oil change i may have an idea..

 

First trick I learned about doing an oil change...put the oil cap on the hood release. If you forget to put the cap back on, the hood won't close. I'd rather spend $5 on a replacement oil cap than drive around without one.

Also, the Performance Mazda guys aren't so good (No offence to you Speed 8, I've just seen them driving around in the dealership truck doing stupid sh*t)...it's too bad we don't have a good rotary guy around. Parts-wise, check out No Limits Auto Parts. The guy knows a thing or two about the rotary, and he sells spark plugs for $25 each lol...steal

 

If u want I can hook u up with parts aswell I was talking to the owner of performance mazda and maybe ser up a forum pricing plan

 

Well I was there looking for coils...they said...no joke...$130 each. btw if you guys are interested, I stopped by Bank Street Mazda last week and they have a CF Mazdaspeed strut bar and a Mazdaspeed CAI that's missing a part (I don't know which part, I didn't ask) that they wanna get rid of...The guy said $300 for each of them but I'm sure you can bug him to lower the price and maybe get both for $500

 

U can find the strut bar for around 200 online yeah dealers overcharge but that's where they make their money parts and service when I worked there a base model mazda 3 only gave them $ 875.00 profit and a full load cx9 was $3200 profit so everything falls in between. I got my could in watertown ny for 32 each and plugs for 18 each

 

Ye my engine light came on with the P0302 code wich is coils like misfires I think.. But I changed my coils 2 months ago...Where did you say there was good price for coils again might change them, engine light went off but came back on yesterday weird stuff

I probably wont have time to be heading down because of my work and stuff, im going to do a carbon removal to see if it will help if not then I probably got unlucky and got defective coils or something so ye if your friend is going probably pick me some up as well, when is he planning on going ?

 

o and if anyone knows a place I can get a CEL read for free..
