If you've got money to throw away messing with a turbo kit, surely you can afford a set of winter tires/wheels? Good lord, this has certainly been covered enough - with winter tires, an RX-8 drives just fine in the winter.

Can't move? Not true. Get winter tires. Won't move, because you won't bother to buy winter tires? I'd believe that sooner...

Client: "I cannot see anything on my monitor.. why ?" (in an angry tone)
Me: "Uhm... can you see a green light on the monitor next to power?"
Client: "NO!"
Me: "Please press the power button."
Client: "OK it works. Now, why would it turn off on its own? Who would do that?"
Me: ... (thinking of how to answer)
Client: "Gotto go.. !" *Click!*

Hold up there mikey, I thought us Canadians has more class than that.

Ty and his brother are just benchracing, maybe a quick drag to 60 on some vacant sidestreet, WTF? You never picked your spots and dragged anybody? I've been on every racetrack in Ontario but I still light it up on occasion on the right street, not in freak'n downtown traffic like those two idiots in Toronto the other day.

But hell, why do you have a performance car if you never go over the speed limit?

Never liked a guy that says stuff on the internet that they'd likely never say to someones face.

Here is an example;

I'm sure if you met up with Blue Eyes he'd say it right to your face.
Your post is fine and all but the original post and sub sequential posts don't lead me to believe that they are going to act the way you put it.

You sure? I wonder if he means to call himself black eyes?

I got this schmuck co-worker, all 140 pounds soaking wet that my nine year old could beat up, always going around telling guys to f-off on the net...thats the typical profile.

I don't doubt you being more responsible .. my concern is with your kid brother out racing in a STI. Not the WRX but full blown STI. That's a lot of power. When I lived in Toronto, I test drove the WRX and STI. Let's just say that STI is scary and can put down a little too much power a little too fast. We all know at that age you reach maximum INVINCIBILITY. Heck, when I was that age, I thought I could handle a Corvette

As to your question about tuner shops in Calgary ... you might want to try Speedtech or Tunerworks. Both are reputable shops but I don't know how much experience they have with rotary engines. Try searching on www.beyond.ca ... it's a Calgary based automotive forum. There are a couple of guys there that work on rx7's and may know of shops here. Did you take a look in the performance section of our forum here? I took a peek there and lots of discussion on tweeking turbos.

im tryin to warn him about the capability of the sti, he's acting like any other 17 year old would act, especially to his older brother. im a little bit scared for him, i myself have test drove one, and its insane, fun, but insane. and yes theres definitly more then 3 feet of snow on the ground, and, like an 90 year old grandma, it doesnt get plowed that often. but its all good, i got a truck for that, im dealin with a company in calgary www.rotaryengine.ca, its a calgary based rotary specialty company, they say they could do good things, so im haulin my car down there in a week or two here, get everything done. hopefully be in magazines, ill keep you guys posted on the project, its costin a lot of cash, itll be fun. thanks for all the help boys. peace

There are far more qualified rotary guys here in Toronto/Ontario. I would never even consider leaving a standard "speed shop" to handle an rotary vehicle. Fabrication could be done here in Toronto and with the only thing that's a true solution to fuel management on the market, the Interceptor is your best bet.

The ACTUAL easiest thing to do really is to purchase a pre fabricated kit.. Ie.. Greddy and build on it, PTP..etc. That is unless you want to dump the money into the R&D yourself.

I sent you PM if you need a helping hand.

From all I've heard (not used them my self) one of the best Rotary shops in Canada is located in Calgary.
RX7 Specialties.

Not hard to find. In fact, their URL is: www.rotaryengine.com

You might want to check them out.
