just CAI's

we just specialize in cold air intakes with our Patented filter.
you'll be getting the best kit on the market, if everything pans out.
Price for the kit will be $100.00 just to cover some costs, a dyno session is also
included.

thanks !!

Looks like a sweet intake. I'd do it is a second, but I suspect it will be as loud as the K&N intake or louder. Most people like it loud, but it's just not my style

Too bad, a few extra ponies is never a bad thing.

Best of luck with the intake Gerry, nice to see a Canadian company making some RX-8 parts!

I would have to pay to try your prototype? I have MS CAI right now, would be a good comparison if you did two different dyno runs, but I'm not paying $100 for a prototype.

thanks for the interest

Thanks for the interest guy's, i have 3 or 4 candidates already, no need for any
more, just need to pic one, its a tuff call because you all replied at the same time.
i hate being in this position but i like the over all interest. i will set up a localized (toronto)
group buy with a good price, so all you guy's can get in on it, if all goes well with this project.

thanks for the support!!

Something about having to pay for prototypes strikes me as not normal. Or maybe that's just my job making me feel biased.

Agreed! Its a prototype which means testing, which could mean, *** up your car. Least it is only a CAI, but paying for it

it's normal... hell.. a lot of places will make you pay to prototype a turbo and even then you run the risk of blowing up your engine...

really you're just paying for parts...

its normal for us

i've been charging $100.00 for prototypes for the last 10 years, so its normal
for us, the dyno session alone will cost that. just covering some costes.
the candidate will be saving about $200.00 . regular price for this kit will be about
$279.00 U.S funds, & no we will not hurt your motor- i know what i'm doing!!
besides i already have the candidate.i respect your opinion- they give away free
prototypes in California all the time, but we are a small company in Canada.

we just finished prototyping the Mazda 3 made 7whp- 09 Honda fit made 6whp
& the Toyota Yaris haven't dyno'd it yet. these customers all payed for there prototypes
and are extremely happy, because we have a great product.we set up a 10 kit group buy for these new kits & there are all sold.
i will set up a localized group buy for the RX-8 when we are done.

thanks for the inquiries!!

Well this I wanan see. Considering the nature of the rotary and the awesome job that Mazda did with the ECU at factory, intakes from various companys have proven to be only noise makers in this car, with gains under 5, if lucky in HP.

But in any case, I wish you the best in your endevor, and if you can make an intake providing reasonable gains, you have will have a potential buyer right here, and if all goes well, heck Canada just gained a little more in the export business.

Thanks Guy's

an intake system is all about getting it right !! - ambient air & the right amount of velocity, and thats were we shine. i don't want to get into to much detail !!! the comp. is listening.

as far as being louder then the K&N, i don't think so, i checked out there kit last night
thank god!! the inlet opening looks very large,so i'm thinking it will be quiter .
our systems are very mutile at idle and low rpm, but, at about 5000rpm & up she starts to sound very interesting, check out our home page-there is a sound clip of a 350z on the dyno.we made 9 whp check out the 350 kit dyno chart on our site.we make power, more power then the competition!!

Never made a kit for a rotory,i'm very excited and optimistic- she's a spinner.

Check out race stuff on our site-you will see 5 years of my life. worlds fastest all motor
probe-Mazda 2.5V6 makes 290whp does 10,500 rpms-so you see we have something in common!!
i built this car to its intirety, if you guy's get the chance to come up you'll see it.
its the only pro stock ( all motor ) drag car that runs a filter.

little story;
K&N was interested in my patent about 2 years ago, they flue me down and we did some testing on an Honda S2000. they promised me a contract that never transpired.
as you can see with there intake i have a possible patent infringement, i've been
waiting for the day ,that i can sue a big company- Thanks K&N

I guess i'm doing something right!!!
thanks for your time.
sorry ,a little hipe !!

Gerry

cool

i'm up for that, you'd have to come up with those intakes on our dyno day.
set it up !! i've went heads up with AEM & came out on top every time, we made 5 whp more then AEM on a s2000.

i have a car coming in tomorrow, i'll keep you guy's posted!!

Would love to see how you do versus RB Revi intake but it's too much work to take it off...

I'm sure...as the MS. But with the MS might be able to just take off the engine bay piping and it might fit? That wouldn't be so bad. If had to take off the front bumper *** dat!

Kits made

Hey Guy's,
made the kit today, worked out great, good idle, customer feels the rev's climb
faster, as expected & sounds great, this kit is a real winner with the existing inlet,
pure cold air & totaly safe in the rain.we will be doing a dyno soon!!

there are some pics- looks great also- pics didn't turn out to good, bad lighting ,it was the end of the day.

Any way to reuse the stock box top cover? I like a clean look under the engine bay =)

And what would the cost be on this?

The only thing I don't like is there seems to be a bend after the MAF into the TB...wouldn't that affect how the MAF reads the air, and affect things say with the Accessport?

There is an intake out on the market that looks similar to yours (with a different filter) but it is very straight from the filter to the TB without any bends.

?

i don't think the stock air box top will fit without some kinda of support, i'd have to say no.
not sure about the Accessport, the bend is after the sensor, shouldn't be a problem.
this is just a pic of our prototype, need to do some dyno testing to find out what size filter
to us on this baby, we are still in the preliminary stages of this kit, the final production piece well vary,
this is just a sample of what to expect.
thanks for the intake pic.

regular price will be about $289.00 U.S
i'm going to set up a Group Buy when all is finalized.

I would get a hold of MazdaManiac he is the resident tuner for many who have purchased the access port. He may be able to talk to you more about how airflow before and after the MAF affect readings as well as tubing size and what not.
