Maple Mazda Servicing?

Hey,

Have any of you been to Maple Mazda in Vaughn? Ive heard good things about them..but i would like to hear from personal experience.

I am thinking of taking my rx8 there this thursday for servicing. Anyone of you had servicing done at Maple Mazda before?

Cheers,
Kereshen

I used to work there. Theyre alright depending on who you are. The people i worked with are all gone apparently so i dont know how the new mechanics and detailers are. But overall the service is kind of **** cause the owners son is in charge and he thinks hes a big shot. He makes shitty calls. The mechanics would always tell me how they hated working on rx8s. Now to be honest with you id want someone who is passionate about what theyre doing so a better job is done lol. Just my 2 cent.

Now this was back then when they first opened but not sure if things have changed there.

Go to avante or scarboro

Adam Elfiki is a service consultant and Joe Perri is the service Manager. Are these the guys you worked with? What was the son's name? Maple Mazda is a drive for me since i live in brampton, and avante mazda is even further.

Adam is the owners son. THe kid is a total *******. Ive worked for him. The service manager i worked for was Alex. Joe is probably his replacement. They replaced alot of people from what ive heard.

Alex was a really nice guy. Very polite and jokes around alot.

Alright, guess i am not going to maple mazda!

I live in Brampton, is there one closer that you would recommend? Also is there someone specific i should talk to when taking my car in?

If i were to choose Avante or Scarboro, which would be the better choice? Who would i talk to there as well?

Thanks,
Much appreciated.

Edit:

Decided to go to Avante Mazda, Who should i talk to? (best tech, would take best care of my car)

Hi Everyone,
Years ago when this forum was new I was always involved with the club when I was the GM at Scarboro Mazda. I left the forums and stopped supporting the club because of constant "dealer bashing". When you publicly do this on a forum no dealer will want your business for fear that they will become next on the list whether its their fault or not. The M3 group has done a great job of this and very few dealers want them in their service departments. I came back to the forums about 3-4 years ago and with the help of the then current members they fully understood why I left and with their support we built a pretty good relationship with its members.

Now I see posts again bashing dealers and accusing them of things, right or wrong this is not a path I believe the members of this forum should take. If someone asks about a dealership, rather than bashing say nothing and I think thats a pretty good indication of the feelings for that particular store. Mazda is hosting an event that many of you have been invited to, dont have them on the defensive even before they start talking.

Most of you know that I am still a GM of a dealership (non Mazda) and I can tell you I would do nothing to try and help someone who has bashed my store or another one of the same brand.

Al I do apologize. I didn't realize it but what you said is right I should have just kept my mouth shut. Past incidents that occured made me do the bashing I guess.

By no means did I try to offend you cause I know you're a great GM and you did a great job at scarboro mazda.

I am only asking for experience from customers at certain stores. I want to know where to bring my car since i want the car to be taken as well cared off as i would.

I am not asking for the "Worst Dealer", but instead how you were handled at "insert dealer".

I understand that when asking about a dealership, false info may be provided and there is no way to prove that what a person is saying is correct. On the other hand if 9/10 people say their car was treated poorly and grease stains or marks were left on their car at "insert dealer" then i cant argue with that either.

I like the way torontomazda3 handles it, where dealers are active on the forums and check their reviews...if they had a bad review they address it. It give me a alot of respect for some of those dealerships.

Anyway, thanks again.

Have a good one !

You have to give some info about your car...year..mileage..so far what have been done or change and a members of this club can help you..

I bring my 8 to a Mazda dealer closer to my place..
I let them do my Engine oil change ONLY(just to build relationship with them..lol). and the rest I do it myself..

If a particular dealership has screwed you over in the past, why on earth would it be right to just stay quiet and let another member follow your mistakes? He asked specifically for our personal experiences. I'm happy with all other Mazda dealerships I've been to, they were helpful at least. If one store of the same brand wont help you because you dislike another what does that really say about the company?

Using the same logic, if I had an issue with a club member and another member asked about him on the forums, I should go on the forums and say what a goof that person is etc. I would choose not to do it that way and either say nothing, send a pm to the person asking the question or say nothing bad about the person and recommend the member talk to another member. Anyone can easily say "I take my car to ______Mazda and get great service there. That way your not saying anything bad about a certain dealer and directing the customer to one that you personally would recommend.

Like I said it no longer affects me in any way as I am not a Mazda dealer anymore, I am just trying to help the members on the forums get the most out of working with the dealers you choose to visit.

FYI when I was a Mazda dealer I had many other ask why I bother helping the enthusiasts.....and I quote "they just bad mouth most of us and dont spend any money here, they just come in for warranty, then complain about the work we did"

It took a long time to remove that idea and I just dont want to see it deterioate back that way.

^^ Makes sense I suppose, bashing will get me nowhere anyway. To be fair I went in to purchase an 8. It was the lack of work I'm complaining about. K I'm done lol
