Like I said before, I won't be able to make the dinner. So the meet up after the dinner is still at Fairview Mall?

So the Ertefa meet is going to be a weekly thing? Or just once a time? I had a few friends went yesterday too, didn't heard much feedback from them.

Awww I was looking forward to checking out ertefa... was just on my way at hwy 7 and leslie when footman texted me they were getting kicked out !!!

As for tonight the dinner plan remains the same. Rooftop at TTC lot OR one level below it if its raining.

With regards to the after dinner location im not really sure :S Just depends what you guys had in mind! Any one have suggestions ?

Yes ertefa had a reaaaally nice turn out, although it did got a little rowdy near the end. I really liked how the event was very welcoming and well organized. Props to them for having such a wonderful event and turnout.

I heard some feedback from someone yesterday saying friday night meets aren't the best as he/she wants to go out on 'friday nights'.. I'm just curious, does anyone else feel the same? Is it the date/time issue of friday nights that's causing our relatively-low turnout rates? If so, is there another day that's better so we can potentionally have a better turnout? Any thoughts?

And just to not cause any confusion, tonight's meet is still going on! :D

I'm the one who has a problem wit Fridays. I tend to go out Fridays and Saturday's. Personally I prefer the meets to be Monday to Thursday. Again that's just me. But if it stays Fridays. I'll do my best to show up to a few of them

I think having meetings on Monday - Thursday is fine for me, sometime ya, Friday or Sat is a problem. I am ok with Sunday night too. But that's just me.

Question I have is... do you guys not have work Monday-Friday? how do you guys get enough sleep if you have a meet weekday nights? Or you guys just don't sleep that early?

Mon-Thur, I try to be in bed by 11pm.

^ For me, I don't sleep that much, I sleep around 1am every night, and up at 7:30am to go to work Monday to Friday (6.5 hours of sleep, good for me). Then Weekend I work other part time jobs during the night time. But again, this is just for me. Some prefer Friday nights, while some need to go out on Friday and Saturday night. I am good any nights, if I am available.

^I hear you footman, Friday is my night out or possile Saturday every other day of the week I'm in bed right after the news. Going out during the week at 9pm will never happen for me

I think St. Louis doesn't do reservations at FV and also I won't be able to come for dinner, but i'll be there afterwards most likely. Have we decided what to do after dinner though? stay at FV?

what about people who can't make it by 9? (when they close the parking)

Footman, obviously you're not AZN enough - you should be up until 4am partying, then up at 7am for work, and sleeping on the train/drive, there and back! D

The think about weekly meets is, there will always be someone who can't make it Thursday because they have some thing, and someone else who can't make Mondays, etc etc. It's even the case that I have to work Friday nights! But that's how it goes. Probably the best thing is for the club in general to be flexible about the meets (which is exactly what we're trying to do here!)

One thing that ought to be mentioned though, is that we also to larger monthly/semi-random meets, usually on a Sat/Sun. And those are the ones you really want to try to make it to. The weekly mini-meets are just to keep us actively engaged, that's how I think at least.

Lol - that was what university was for ! Ever since I hit 25 I've been acting more and more like my old man... I look forward to watching the news at night and falling asleep shortly thereafter on my weekdays:P

It is difficult to agree on a regular date as we can never have a date when everyone will be free or happy with it. We just do what we can when we can.

There is no reservation for tonight as a) I tried calling all day long and the phone doesnt go through and b) as maffu eluded, they may not even taken reservations.

All newbs are encouraged to show!

In terms of where we meet after dinner - I don't know :S Do the non-dinner people want to come up with something and just let us know?

EDIT: Assuming we dont feel like a car wash (its raining tmr anyways I believe) wanna just do an ol fashion meet at timmies after dinner? I haven't had a coffee from them in a long time lol. 16th and Woodbine like back in the day?

I think it would be easier to just stay in one place for people to come? so there's no confusion between where we're meeting when. It's possible to get someone to open the gate to let someone in though right (after they close at 9)

either way i'll message you before i come, probably around 10 or so.

+1 for 'non-week night' meet... I wake up at 6:30am to get ready for work and sometimes work carries over into the week nights. It's a good day if I get into bed at 11pm....

We're looking at 8pm before we sit down to eat anyway, right? So 10pm for coffee is probably as close to the mark as we'll get.

So, just to do a full recap: we're at Fairview Mall (401/404) upper lot (Sears entrance) at 7pm for meet-n-greet, fallback is lower lot if it's raining / lot closed.

Inside to St Louis around 7:45 - 8pm (was that on the other end of the mall?)

Then cruise up the highway (or Don Mills if you prefer the city streets :D ) up to the plaza at Woodbine / 16th Ave for 10pm. It's the Tim Hortons lot, supposedly there's a new T&T grocery store in this plaza, so there might be a big reduction in parking space. But we'll squeeze in somehow.
