Mazdaspeed Canada RX8 Accessories Brochure

Mazdaspeed Canada RX8 Accessories Brochure
i swung by my local Mazda Dealership and asked about MS accessories and they handed me an MS Accessory Brochure with parts for the 3, 6, MS6, 8, MX5 and Miata.
I scanned the RX8 pages only - sorry about the quality, my scanner is about 6 years old and i've never cleaned the glass
i guess prices are dependent on dealer and how much profit margin they want to make off of you.

The prices on the wheels are ridiculous for one reason or another, however the suspension components are very reasonable for what they are. I just brought a bunch of stuff in from the states (legally) and by the time i finished with shipping, customs and the difference in the dollar it more than doubled. The only reason I brought it in is I cant get a real front splitter in Canada. My $635.00 USD dollar will cost me about $1300.00 canadian by the time it lands here.

i was actually after the new MS exhaust.
but i don't know if i wanna put the money towards new brakes - i just can't get the squealing to go away so i was eyeing the brake package Vivid Racing has for $750US as well.
but i can't afford to get both right now.

I import my own stuff...and don't have to pay brokerage charges...shipping is usually free or much less if you PU in the States and import yourself.
I'm lucky and live 10 min from the border.
I still think the Mazdaspeed Canada prices suck

Umm I'm hi-jacking the thread here sorry, but I was having issues with brake squeal so I went back to the dealer and they put another different set of brake pads on. I believe there is a TSE (or whatever it's called) out about brake squeal issues.
<edit> *TSB and you can find a list of them here
http://www.finishlineperformance.com...ins_index.html
You will see "Squeal Noise from front brakes" near the bottom of the page
All I know is that they fixed mine. Now I don't know if you've been down this road already and the Vivid Racing brake package sounds sweet......
I'm just say'n ..... that's all
./end hi-jack

i've had the brakes replaced twice under the TSB and the rotors have been machined 2 or 3 times by Mazda ... no luck (machining seems to work best - squeal comes back in about a week).
i went aftermarket with Hawk HPS pads ... no luck.
bedding the brakes with the instructions from this board/ on the box of the Hawk pads seems to get rid of the squeal for a day or two, MAX.
i managed to get a quote from my local Mazda dealer for the exhaust: $1088 ... ouch. no thanks.

Some of the prices are silly, but some aren't bad.
Exhaust is WAY too much, the sway's are high, but the shocks and springs are pretty good.
They gave me a little less than $2100 for the adjustable coilover kit (not the sport shocks and springs).
Trying to find out a few more specs on those.

Well, I only asked for a list price on the springs and shocks. Not, "a deal."
List on the springs (set of 4) was $466.27 CDN
Dampers were $148.28 each for the fronts and $157.61 each for the rears.
So, if that's list, that is your worst-case.
Actually pretty fair when you consider what aftermarket shocks and springs sell for.
For comparison, list on the Coilovers was $2667.
*Edit: To be fair to the dealerships, I should say that they did tell me that even with the higher prices than the US, the margin left for the dealers on the Mazdaspeed stuff isn't as good as it is on the normal accessories, so don't be shocked/surprised if your dealership can't move too far off of List.
Apparently the coilovers were just about the highest dealer-margin option on the page.
