Just got the call from Christensen Mazda in Nanaimo. My red 6-spd. GT was released Friday from Annacis (sp?) Island. It should be arriving by carrier truck in Nanaimo tomorrow or Wednesday according to them.

Funny thing too--I put a $500 deposit down only a month ago and here it is. Guess it pays to live near a small town. They had three cars available, and only one was spoken for.

Not sure what they'll give me on trade for my 1988 M3. If it's not great, I may have to pass on the RX-8...

 

You know, you really got me thinking here.

I should call some "small" towns around here and see what is available!

 

When I talked to Performance Mazda on Friday they still had a Titanium GT, with Moonroof, No Nav without a loving home, might still be there

 

That sounds like the car I have a deposit on. If they sell it to someone else, I will not be a happy camper.

 

Hate to burst your bubble but unless you actually bought the car (ie signed a contract not a down for 1st refusal) then they will continue to say that the car is available. That way they can grab some other poor sucker's down. I can't wait to see what happens when the sh*t hits the fan when 3 people will try to claim the car. That is the kind of BS I was referring to when describing the Ottawa dealers.

The story I got was they are getting 5 cars total. One is a blue GS and the other is a Tit GT with moonroof in their first allotment. I don't know what they are expecting afterwards other then at least 1 will be an auto.
