REV - do you ever watch Top Gear? The 8 ran the exact same time as the M3 and 350z But ya will have more gas left over lol.

Its money, trust me you wont get as much a turnout on a paid track day. Unless Al plls his magical powers asnd gets the group a cheap rate.

Which is tough since a lot off ppl would want driving lessons at a cheap rate.

btw, the Top Gear track M3 time was with the OLD stig(slower driver) ON a DAMP track...don't wet dream too much about your Rx8 fast like M3 on the track...esp in a highspeed track like mosport with equal drivers...they will be long gone with a big F U after turn 6.

As for track days... yes. I plan on hitting up Shanonville as much as I can this year (cash permitting). Mosport will be.. well... we'll see. My goal is to hit it at least one over the year.. most likely at the end of the season after I learn how the 8 handles at Shanonville. Even then I'll be going slowly until I learn mosport... I don't wanna write off my car.

 

The only thing I'll say about this is that there are a number of driver's who don't adjust their driving style to the 8.. in order to have max rpm out of a corner some times you have to alter the standard driving line that you'd use with most normal cars (you know.. the one's that actually have torque). Even then... you're still not going to gain that much ground.

poop to the S2000's 4 second lead on the 8.

 

In fairness, the S2000 is the CR which adds some downforce and lighter weight. I think the RX-8 is right about where it should be. The only cars way off the mark IMO are

Good...ya I'm kinda worried about Mosport track after hearing all the stories. Might be content just riding around in an 8 that isn't mine
