so last time we did this it was more of a parade lapping thing, going around fairly slow and not pushing on the cars no reason to change to track tires. is this going to be the same thing? or are we going to be on the track for a 20min lapping session where it would be beneficial for those who have them to swap to track tires?

I dunno what's goin' on with this event... but I'm going to imagine it will be much the same as last time. Once you start getting up to scary speeds you have to worry about things like writing off cars. Never fun. If everyone can stay closer together this time around chances are you'll all be able to go faster then last time.... the only reason why it was slow the last go was because people trailed off to try and get run ups through the corners...

When we are in the pace car and going into turn 8 while there are still cars in turn 5, I have to SLOW DOWN. If everyone can keep in a tight group not more than 2 car lengths apart I can GO FASTER lol

i really would hate to see this thread fill up with crap about going faster and what not. that happened last time, and if i remember correctly, everyone had a great time regardless of what was said/done. so why dont we all save it and just sign up, knowing how awesome the whole day will be. Al will have a drivers meeting to get everyone up to speed, excuse the pun. we'll go out and have a blast and people will still leave gaps and do run ups and slow everything down just like last time. it'll be insanely fun for virtually free. theres nothing to improve on or bitch about or whatever. I can't wait!!!!

lol sorry i forgot all about all the fucked up **** that happened last time with people bitching and complaining. all i wanted to know is if this was the same as last time or if this was more of a open lapping thing.
alan said clear as day this is parade lapping and just follow the leader. its kind of nice to go around mosport slow you get to look around and enjoy a very scenic track lol

Is a bbq being set up again? I don't know if I can make it, but if there is a bbq again you can for sure borrow mine if need.

ya, im up for pitching in for that again too. I'll bring a box of burgers and some buns, a case of pop if others can supply the BBQs again...last time was overkill, so i wont bring as much. haha.
