My baby
Hi all
Just wanted to share my joy! I have been skulking around for the past 2 months sucking up info from this forum since I drove the 8 for the first time. Today I put my deposit down on a Red GT 6Speed MT - I think I got a great deal on it too thanx to the shopping advice I got from here. $43100 GST inc ( Moonroof No Nav and spoiler) Best service seemed to be from either Autoworld in Leduc or Park Mazda in Sherwood Park where I bought in the end. Delivery should be next week and I can't wait
Thanx for all the info - hope I can contribute in the future
Gerhard

Congrats!
I too have been a lurker on the boards for the last 8-9 months since I test drove a RX-8 last fall. I fell in love and have been looking forward to getting one since then. However I had not wanted to get one before the horrible prairie winter here in Winnipeg, so waited, and drove the wife CRAZY with car talk for the whole winter. As soon as the snow melted in April, I was told to go buy my DAMN car before she divorced me..... :p
So as of last Wednesday I joined you all as a proud RX-8 owner.
1 week of owning it so far am still smiling uncontrollably while driving it. 3 tanks of gas so far, just having fun driving everywhere. Saw another new owner out there right after I bought mine as well, smiled and waved, to each other. Knew he had bought it the same week as his plate number was only 20 numbers off from mine!
I never posted before, as it just didn't feel right commenting on anything, until I got my baby and really joined the club. Good to go now though! Although I will be spending a lot less time on the computer and more time in the car! :D

Now I am looking for a canadian supplier for a MS rear spoiler as it did not have one, and I prefer the MS one to the stock.
Anyone know of one? I already tried canzoomer and he doesnt carry them. He suggested a US shop, but don't feel like dealing with duty if I dont have to.

Hi guys, got my baby Wednesday nite 20:15 Mountaintime in Sherwood Park after watching the dude wash my car for 1 hour! I love this thing! Drove only 150 km the first nite when i got it...Getting her first wash tomorrow if the weather holds up. My 3 year old loves it! Went for another aimless drive with him to supposedly pick up movies "daddy can we go drive the Mazda again?" - it's all the excuse i needed....
Will i ever tire of that sound?? :D Can't wait for the break in to be over so i can hear the BEEP
