If anyone is meeting at fairview or maybe even at the track it would be apreatiated if they could bring their access port or w/e the thing is called to check CELs. I have a random engine light that keeps turning on when i hit the highway. I think it might be knocking, but i cant be too sure. I dont want to stop the car at the track or have it explode on me.

if gates closed, meet in the parking lot in front of spring rolls instead? just have to turn the car around basically and its out in the open so we can spot the group.

Well, I went for alignment Thursday...
Settings were quite a bit off.
7.4 + caster
0.45 deg toe in on one of the rear wheels
-2.7 camber on the rear
My caster adjustment is frozen on the passenger side
So now the best I could get was -0.6 camber and 6.3 caster, 0.05 toe
-2.0 camber on the rear with 0.05 toe in
I've had no seat time with the settings because of the rain yesterday so I've decided to play it safe... No track for me today

Just got back from the track.
It was great to see everyone.
The event seems to get bigger and bigger every year.
The weather played out in our favor.
The line was very big, and I'm sure if Al kept up the pace the front 8 cars were following, we'd catch up with the rear of the pack in no time.
The run went very well.
I was in 10 or 9th spot when we started.
Started to do some laps when Pros was keeping the rest of us backed up.
After Scottish was riding Pros long enough, Pros decided to turn into the pits.
Immediately we started to see the skill level difference between drivers. Not so much machine.
So it went 2 RX-8's, a Nissan Maxima, 1 RX-8, 1 Mazdaspeed Miata, a Boxter, and myself. With Rotorweezer right behind me. Couldn't see who was behind him.
As soon as the pace started to pick up, the driver in the Boxter clearly couldn't keep up with the pace of the other cars.
After being stuck on his bumper for 2 laps, he decided to pull into the pits.
This is where the pace really started to pick up.
It was basically 9 cars who were able to keep up with the pace Al was doing.
soon enough, we lost the rest of the pack.
Had to back up and let everyone catch up. Which took awhile.
Once we could see the rest of the conga line, we started to pick up the pace again. But we got around another lap before we had to pull into our pits. Its amazing how fast a lunch "parade" lap can go.
It was a great afternoon.
I think Footmans lady is hell bent on picking up a Miata now.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow at Sherway Gardens.
Thanks again to Al and BEMC for letting us lap around legendary Mosport.

Just got home from loading "Christine" with help from RXeckless and Scottish, they also fixed my 2-way radio system so I can communicate with my crew tomorrow! You guys are amazing! Just finally counted the cash from today....thanks Scott for doing 90% of the registration I really appreciated all your help! We raised $700.00 which is the most ever. As always BEMC was amazing to work with and Josh thanks so much for the "pace car"! If everyone wants to we can go back to 2 events per year, the mothers day weekend and this weekend BEMC said they would love to do it with us again! I just really have to thank the RX8 club because it was mostly you guys that made it happen!

Next run is May 2010... I'm signed up already LOL!
Though I have to say, and I will try to be as diplomatic about this as possible as it is a touchy subject, there is a necessity to put the cars in some sort of order. We have from now till next May to determine just exactly what that ordering is that is the fairest, simplest, safest way, while maximizing fun for everyone.
