Need Parts for 2006 RX8
Hello,
I recently purchased a written off RX8 and my dad and I are slowly fixing it up to make it road worthy again. Here's a list of all the parts I need right now and if anyone has any of these parts (or preferable most/all of them), please let me know.
Steering Rack
Upper and Lower Control arms (Driver side)
Engine Crossmember
Oil coolers (left and right)
Passenger side air bags (main one in dash and 2 side impact)
Front bumper cover with fog lights
wheels and tires
If anyone can help me with these parts, it'd be a big help. Not sure if it matters, but I live in Western Canada.
Thanks

+1 for looking to the US. The CDN used 8 parts market is small, probably not in small part to the fact that there are few 8s, and even few are parted out. Moreover, most of the parts you're looking for aren't going to be those that are parted out for mods; the oil coolers, for example, aren't swapped out all that much.
You're likely going to have to go to a wrecker's yard and try to find a (manual, since 2 coolers, I am guessing?) scrapped 8, and even then, you're going to have to find a rear-ended one that was written off, since most of the parts you're looking for are front-end.
I just have to ask - why try to fix up a written-off 8? Parts are expensive, and the upkeep isn't all that inexpensive in terms of a fun car. The chassis also is likely tweaked.

I couldn't afford it any other way And this way I get the car I want but I can fix it up and accessorize it anyway I want from the ground up. It'll probably end up costing me around 20k when the dealerships here are seeling them for over 40k. It only has 3700km on it, so it's basically brand new.
I have a lot of people helping me that know an awful lot more about fixing it up than me and they all figure we can get it back to good as new again...crossing fingers

Mazmart....
Mazmart, one of the site sponsors.
There is no other realistic solution, they sell RX-8 parts. I have bought stuff very successfully - even coming from the states, it is way cheap.
