Was totally unable to make it to the last meet. Got called in to work at the last minute. Would love to meet up with everyone in Vancouvr though... is anyone around this weekend? If it's sunny maybe a cool drive for a bit (somewhere that we don't have to wait in line for construction like hwy 99)...

Any ideas? Wanna meet? Even if there's just a couple of us. It'd be fun..

Ya it was me and a frd but we were of course ok... what pissed me off tho was there was another car speeding beside me but they only caught me cuz i was few kms faster then him.

Its wierd, As soon as I bought my RX8 I started to see at least one every day now. I live in North vancouver and prior to my purchase i saw the rx8 in north van rarely. But now im seeing one everyday, It seems like people are starting to realize how great looking and performing the RX8 is. Its such an awesome , when im about to get inside I always smile cause i love my car. Plus a meet would be pretty cool. Im down for that.

Actually lets reprase that.... when I bought mine there WAS few RX-8s on the road in GVA but now there is ALOT !! and ALOT OF them are BLACK RX-8s too compare to b4 I got mine.

There is actually something called "selective perception" that happens in situations like this - before you buy something, you don't notice many (or any) of them around, but once you buy it (i.e. the RX-8) you notice it a lot! Not only that, but often you notice the "same" one you bought showing up everywhere. It's just a phenomenon, I wouldn't base any hard facts on it (i.e. "I was the first one to buy an RX-8 in GVA" - not that anyone has made this claim).

It's a stupid psychological crap thing I learned in one of the Business courses I took.

Actually b4 I bought the RX8 I was very interested in the car and noticed it alot ... RX7/8 i planned along time buying so always looked for it on road... but it wasn't as much b4... not saying theres none... but yes... ur theory is correct tho... it is very true that ppl start to notice it after they have it.
