It's nice to hear from owners in the Montreal region.
I'm from the south shore and been driving the 8 since last August, not driving it during winter except for nice days when the roads are dry.
Might take it out this weekend, the weather forecast looks good.
Welcome and enjoy the drive.
Salut !

Hello all Montreal RX8 owners. I am from west island. I have my tit8 since 04-jan. Mine is sitting in the garage for last 2 months because I am working from home. I started the car last weekend for a ride. It feels good. Just like the car is connected to you, it listens to you and everything just right at my command. Pure comfort and excitment. Once the temperature is above zero, even with slushes and water when snow is melting, I 'll be start driving it and I can spray and power wash the car each day without the water freeze up on the driveway.

Welcome aboard Dejesus!

I'm from Montreal too (South Shore actually), and drive my 8 in the winter, loads of fun!

But, I'm in India on business at the moment, will be stuck here another month or so... I get to ride in auto-rickshaws everyday, which is almost as exciting as my 8.

Welcome to the community!
I had a 2004 (which I sold back to Mazda after 12000km) and now I own a 2005 since late september '05. My 8 is stored for winter since mid-novembre (with only 3700km ...). I can't wait for the roads to clear up. I live in the NDG area.

ps. Montreal folks, we should meet for a "RX-8 reunion" in spring. Suggestions are welcome.

Cheers
Phil

Glad to hear from others from montreal. I'm driving this thing summer and winter, so far it's been great, mind you it'sonly been 5 days, but i can't go to a beater from this car for 6 months a year, it'd be too hard, i have no disapline. I picked mine up from spinelli mazda in Lachine. Black '04, mt, everything but the nav computer. I'm in the west island.

I got a good price on it, and i'm pretty sure there's still a silver '04 in chateguay, I turned it down because of the color, but the prices out there now, are amazing.

From the South shore also

Hi guys, I'am from the MTL south shore also.
I own a black RX-8 04 that I've got in november. Drove it all winter and had no problems at all to this day. It actually suprised me even during heavy snowy days. I drive it with Hankook winter tire on 17"mags.
À la prochaine ;-)

I'm also from the Montreal south shore (Candiac to be precise).

I just got my hands on a special limited edition (elsewhere known as Shinka) this week. The color is just incredible. I had read about the fact that it looks black from a distance and you can see all sorts colors as you approach depending on the lighthing environment. The actual color is black cherry red mica (or something like that).

And of course, it is not just about the color, this is the coolest car in my opinion... I wanted one for a long time... now it's TRUE!!! :D :D :D
