New Owner, Proper Introduction

Hi all. I have been posting a bit and realized I never properly introduced myself.

My name is Elliott (zerobio) and I bought my '07 black GT a few weeks ago in Ottawa while visiting family over the summer. I am a high school science teacher (mostly biology) for the past 16 years here in London, Ontario. My last car was a black celica gts which I really liked and I had my first mod experiences with it ... honda s2000 antenna (haha) to replace the long steel one and eibach sportlines.

Unlike many of you, I have no mechanical skills so I tend to ask very naive questions but there is a lot of tolerance for us noobs here, it seems, and that's so great. Couldn't do without this forum.

My hobbies include website design (www.zerobio.com) and music recording. I was a professional musician for a number of years playing clubs with bands and solo and I have a home recording studio. If you want to hear some of my music, you can find it through my website by clicking on "Who Am I?" ... but lower your expectations okay?

I guess that's about it except to say I'm proud to be driving the 8 and thankful for the advice I get here.

~ Elliott

Welcome Elliott.
We are all friends here.
The first step in healing is admitting you owned a Celica.

Welcome, Elliott, perhaps we'll see each other in London sometime. I visit my parents frequently and I'll be on the lookout. Enjoy

Rapser, Neo:

Thanks mates! I'll definitely keep my eye out for Mike. And Neo, yeah would love to meet up with some of you guys. Thanks for the invite.

Oh yeah, just got the "rotary dragon decal" for 3rd brake light from rx8 strakes. Took about 5 days to receive. Now if I can just figure out how to install it ...

GoesLikeStink,

Thanks man. All my posts are pretty cheesy, always questions and nothing to contribute yet. And now pretty broke after the mods. Funny to see people post how much in debt they are for their mods ... actually, more sad than anything.

Take it easy.

I'm impressed by the fact that you can say that despite having to have your engine replaced after little over a year

Love the car, love the engine too, can live with the replacement. Its just the people taking care of that replacement that I really do not care for.

Or maybe I'm just really positive.

Greddy sp2 question

I posted this in perfomance mods also but in case you guys see it ... I just got the greddy a couple weeks ago. It started out nice and chrome but it looks like it's getting a bronze tint. Is this normal? Would a good chrome cleaner change it back to its original colour? Looks kinda weird.

Thanks.

Nice to meet you Elliott. Welcome to the board. It's great to see another Londoner! If I see you in town, I'll be sure to wave!

Look for me on Adelaide, Wellington or downtown at Richmond & Pall Mall. You'll know it's me by the plates. There's at least one other copper red SE in town (I see it in Pond Mills area all the time) but mine's the one with the spoiler on the back and the hot blonde behind the wheel
