ON New and proud owner of an rx8

Hey everyone, just bought my 2004 rx8 3 weeks ago and loving it! Been reading up on some threads and have learned a bit about our cars. Any info or tips would be greatly appreciated. My car is 100% stock so what would be the best mod to start off with? What mods are really worth doing?

Welcome to the club dude! My car is currently stock (but my metra kit, footwell lights, led bulb replacements, and clear corners came in today) I'd personally recommend upgrading the audio system first, but alot of other members would say an exhaust or short shifter. I guess the big question is what your plans are with the car. Drag? Autocross? Show/shine?

Liek all have said, come out to the cruise on APril 12.

You'll be able to see lots of 8s, with different mods on them. It'll help you really choose what you wanna do and what company to go with.

For example, if you decide it was time for an exhaust first, we'll have guy there with Racing Beat, Mazdaspeed, Greddy, possibly Borla there for you hear.

We'll also have combos with Racing Beat by itself, paired with a supercat, Mazdaspeed by itself, Mazdaspeed with a double resonated midpipe, or a catless cat.

Best way to decide would be to come out, meet the others and see what everyone has done.

Welcome and congrats!

Short shifter and sway bars are the most noticeable mods.

Congratulations!
Post Pictures or you don't exist

First mod is clear corners, then you should look at premixing, it will help you in every department for the engine.

Except adding too much oil to the fuel will do nothing but gumb up your fuel lines, and wreck your CAT.
