Nothing yet! It might be a good idea to be a subsection of the bc rotary club and use a section of their forum for ourselves. I think we can organize an initial meet up to introduce ourselves and discuss the ideas some more.

 

ya that sounds good just want to join a club would be a sweet deal...just want to know when everythin is goin to get running and what not...plus dont really know how many people actually own rx8's down in the lower mainland...it would be great if we could get everyone together to join the club and what not...

 

Well there is an autocross event this sunday and there are two RX8s signed up so far. Torotor also mentioned that he is interested to watch / race. You can join us for autocrossing or just drop by to watch and say hi. Here is the link:

The holiday season is quite busy for everyone, perhaps we can meet up in early January. Any suggestions?

Hey everyone. Sorry for not getting back to guys sooner... it's been pretty hectic the last couple weeks.

Thanks to vchiu28 we have web space, but no domain name. I'm thinking we can all meet up in January sometime to talk about the club/website and also get some donations for the domain name.

Anyway, I should be able to mock-up a website design by tonight. I'll post it here when it's done.

 

Early Jan is perfect time to meet up,holiday season is way to hectic. Might come down come check out that autocross this weekend before work :p

 

beansbaxter thanks for the update. I believe we are all very excited about your mock-up site. As for the domain name go, let all come up with 1 name and we can all vote on them.

I suggest - "rx-8club.ca" . I checked, this domain is available.

do any of u guys drive yur 8 in the snow? as of right now it is just shitting snow here in langley/surrey mine currently is put away and im just drivin my winter 4x4

 

I drove mine today in the snow. It was kinda sketchy at first but got the hang of it but i also have bridgestone blizzak winter tires on mine so was pretty decent as long as you shift around 3000

 

It's cool to see some new interest in a club in Vancouver.

BCRX8.ca is still registered under me. I should be able to transfer it to you guys... I've never done a domain transfer before. Hopefully it won't be too difficult...

I also have the entire old site copied... I could zip it up and dump it onto someone's computer if you want.

I would prefer to do this in January. Pretty crazy the next month...

thats decent for sure! i got a white r3 myself....do u know why he took off his black rims?

 

I believe he has his summer tires on the stock ones. The rims he had on are supposed to be 3-4 lbs lighter as well which helps when you are autocrossing in stock class.

 

oh ok thats cool! i dont see too many 8's down in langley where I'm from maybe the occasional 1 or 2 dont really know how many are down in the lower mainland hopefully enough to get a club fired up!

 

The roof rack has to nullify any advantage the rims may have gave him...


I am driving my 8 this winter and haven't really had any problems. Rolling on Wintersport M3s though.

 

just finished work tonight and saw on the way home I'm pretty sure a blue rx8 on 200th street in langley in a car accident looks like the front end got smashed in a little bit couldn't see the other cars tho.
