New visor club..!
Went to put the drivers side visor down to hold up my sun screen and *crack* it split right in half where the pivot enters it. I couldnt get it to stay up, and after re evaluating my first thought of ripping it right off (wiring and all) I ended up tying it up snug with the pivot and a shoelace held it there anyway. Worked relatively well for the last week and a half. The tech laughed at my 'ingenuity' and said the last guy he did one for used duct tape.. that was option #2 but I didnt want the glue from the tape melting onto the headliner (ahh this heat, I hate it.. car sits in the sun all day at work).
Got the new visor installed today, nice and tight and its not hanging down 1.5 inches like it was with my shoelace mod.. they also replaced my gas cap saying it was a new recall? Didnt see that one anywhere.. (unless my search skillz suck )
Next time you're running by the dealer go get your new cap! Didnt have an issues with my old one, but hey, free stuff is good.
To note, the VR that was in the shop is now gone (Kramer) saw it there several times over the last few months... wonder if it was there the entire duration? I will be back to one of Calgary's dealers soon, not sure which as I think I have a problem.. very rough idle that isnt getting worse, but has been there since day one and searching the forum has made me very nervous upon reading the results...
